These adjectives are the ones that
describe or modify ONE SPECIFIC noun,
however it doesn’t compare this
adjective to any other(s).

Adjectives
Some of this adjectives can be identified by their ending,
however not all of them have this particularity. Some of
the endings in which you may recognize and adjectives
are:
-able/ible: achievable, capable, illegible, remarkable,etc.
-al: biographical, functional, internal, logical, etc.
-ful: Beautiful, careful, grateful, harmful, etc.
-ic/iac: maniac, cubic, terrific, insomniac, etc.
-less: breathless, careless, restless, hopeless, etc.
-ous: courageous, dangerous, disastrous, fabulous, etc.

These adjectives have an specific function, as the
name says, they compare an SPECIFIC number of
nouns to a CERTAIN GRADE but never the highest
or lowest grade.

Adjectives
They finish in –er if it has two or less
syllables
They have the word “more” before the
adjective if it has more than two syllables
12. Superlative Adjectives
This adjectives as well as the comparative noun.
However, it elevates the noun to the highest or
lowest point of the scale. So, in other words, this
adjectives doesn’t have any other word to make
them more or less important.

Adjectives
They finish in –est if it has two or less
syllables
They have the word “most” before the
adjective if it has more than two syllables
