Causes Of Fake News
Fake News has been creating confusion amongst Americans for years now, but it has become a
much larger problem in modern day society compared to when people had to actually sit down
and read a newspaper to find out about current events. Fake News has evolved over the years
mostly due to the increase and accessibility of the Internet and having the ability to spread
information whenever you want. Many Americans use social media and other internet sources
over watching the news on television or reading a newspaper. The reason why Fake News is such
a large problem is because the creators of Fake News use enticing headlines and other
manipulative methods to try to make you believe that their article is real. The only way we can
stop this is by checking our sources before we share an article and to report anything that provides
false or misleading news. The American people are the most responsible for the spread of Fake
News because we are the ones who share, like, and repost all of these articles that contain
misleading, perhaps even completely made–up information that causes confusion in modern day
society. In the article, Facebook declares War on Fake News, the author states that, "Soon, Users will
be able to report stories they suspect are fake" (Fosco). The creators of Fake News are also
responsible for the spread of Fake News because they are the ones who make it and use things such
as, "click–bait", to create confusion among the american population. But the creators of Fake
News are not the main culprits, it is the american people, just like you and me. In the article,
Algorithms Can Help Stomp Out Fake News, the author claims that, "A Buzzfeed survey found
that three in four american adults who see Fake News headlines, actually believe them"
(Waddell). Another reason why American citizens are responsible for the spread of fake news is
because when we read an article that makes us angry or strongly confirms our personal beliefs, we
have the urge to share with others, without even checking for how accurate the article actually is.
One question you can ask yourself while reading to determine the accuracy of an article that could
possibly be misleading or fake, which is found in Ten Questions for Fake News

European Economy Essay 1
Introduction
The development of the European economy since 1945 to the present day has been significant as
much change has occurred during this period of time. The first and possibly most interesting
development that occurred during this time that I will write about is 'The Golden age'. The Golden
age transpired post World War II in the time period 1950
–1973 and was a period of great economic
growth within Europe. There were several reasons for the growth and development of the European
economy during this time period and I will discuss each in detail throughout my essay with the
support of scholarly articles and book chapters relevant to the development of the European economy
throughout these...show more content...
Economic decision making as a result is quicker at responding to market impulses as better political
institutions are in place. Another major factor in the growth of the European Economy at this time
was Disequilibrium. Populations moved from low productivity sectors to high productivity sectors
as labour demands were high in these areas. The improvement in manufacturing and the movement
of populations into higher productivity areas caused Economic growth to increase rapidly within the
Economy. Trade was extremely low during the War and the increase in trade post World War II
promoted industrialisation. The Economic restructuring that took place after the War was majorly
financed by the increase in trade and with an improved structure in industry and manufacturing
created to opportunity for even more efficient trade which promoted higher Economic growth.
Cyclical fluctuations were mild and also inflation rates within Europe were socially acceptable
(Crafts et al, 1996).Unemployment rates within Europe were low due to the high demand for labour
which also contributed to the Economic growth during 'The Golden age'.
Economic development was high from (1950–1973) but 'The Golden age' in Europe then came to an
end. The first major reason for the slowdown in economic growth was the closure of the
technological gap between the US and Europe. Europe had now stabilised its growth by reaching a

Larry and Martha paid the bill, got into the car, and headed to a hotel.
Larry and Martha had a lot to say while they were in the restaurant. But the car ride was very quiet.
It was like they've run out of things to talk about.
In fact, Martha thought back to a few days earlier when see used the reality engine to look into the
future, just to find something to talk about. Martha looked at what the world would be like in the
year 2017. She saw news organizations accuse other news organizations of presenting fake news.
"Do you still watch CNN?" Martha asked.
"Yes," Larry said. "Why?"
"Just making conversation. What about Fox News?"
"Not really. Fox news is a biased conservative news organization. And this is coming from a...show

Meanwhile, somewhere on Oberon, there was a tower. Inside the tower, on the top floor, a man and
a woman sat in a dark office, watching various news broadcasts from Earth. The office was as dark
as a movie theater.
"It's working, Clarence," the woman said. "For many year, we've filled Earth's news with half–truths
and whole lies, which influenced these Earthlings to create their ideologies. Earth have fought in
two war worlds because of these ideologies. So, it's just a matter of time before World War 3 breaks
out. When that war ends, Earth will be so weak, it will be easy to take it over. Want to know why?"
"Because Earthlings will ask us to rule them, Glacier," Clarence said.
"Exactly."
"Why are we trying to take over Earth, when we haven't even taken over Oberon yet?"
"Why focus on just one planet at a time?"
"Because we can't work too efficiently if we spread ourselves too thin. Otherwise, we would haven

"Well, once we get a hold of the reality engine, we can take over the universe easily."
"Then why bother with your current plan to take over Earth?"
"It's a backup plan."
"What's our backup plan for taking over Oberon?"
"My God, why do you ask so many questions?"

Creative Writing: Fake
Fake, is a word to describe something not real.
So if you are my friend why do you not care about how I feel?
You said you would always have my back.
But now it just feels like I'm under attack.
I see how you roll your eyes every time I walk by.
You don't even bother to say simple "hi".
What do you want me to do?
Was I always this annoying to you?
You said we would be friends forever.
But now that forever, just seems like another never.
Why do you feel as if I am threat?
I thought you were friendly when we had first met.
This pain beats on me like drum.
Where is all his hatred coming from?
Every time I hear a rumor you had made behind my back, it just leaves another scar.
But the next time someone actually sees what kind of person you are.

False News Bias Essay
Everyday, billions of people read websites, magazines, newspapers, or watch television segments
so they are informed on what is happening in the world. The news is something that so many
people rely on and check constantly. What people aren't aware of however, is that so much of what
they are being told is a lie. False news is a growing and constant issue in today's society. Fake news
spreads rapidly, changing people's views on the world constantly. However, putting an end to this
media trend has proved to be a struggle. Fake news comes from countless places and spreads at an
alarmingly fast rate. Usually, false stories start as a hoax on a small scale website, blog, or even
social media post. A journalist from a slightly bigger news...show more content...
Most of this has to do with the fact that fake news is biased. People like and share the information
that aligns or confirms their beliefs and disregard the information that does not. According to a
recent analysis, "information can bring people together or drive them apart... Fake news is
divisive". On the other hand, real news brings the people who agree even closer and persuades
the ones who do not. With fake news ruining the flow of this common ground, people have
become more and more divided on certain topics (Donath). One important aspect of society that
has been completely bombarded with false information is the Presidential Election. In fact, as
election day got closer and closer, the most popular stories were derived from false information
(Obama). That is a big problem because as voters were trying to make an educated decision on
who to vote for, they were being told information that was not even true. Some people say that
fake news could have even altered the election results. But why are people believing all this? In
order for a piece of information to change someone's opinion on something, they obviously have to
truly believe and buy into that information. False news sources have been working to develop
ways to get people to think what they are saying is true. One way to do this is by confusing the
viewer just enough to not know what is true. Another way is by making their sites look extremely
professional and falsely crediting information to trustworthy places ("Fake News and the Internet
Shell Game"). Unfortunately, once fake news is produced and in the public, it can change people's
views on the

The Definition Of Fake
Have you ever been called a name that hurt you really bad? Ever been called fake and thought it
was nothing? Well the meaning behind it could actually hurt you. The definition of fake is "not
genuine; counterfeit." (dictionary.com). However, the connotations of the word is worse the
way that a lot of people now days think of that word is that you aren't who you are around one
person. According to Urban Dictionary a fake person is "someone who is not genuine and will
do whatever it takes to make themselves look good. They will take credit for other's work or
down play the good of others to illuminate oneself". This is how someone would hurt you and say
things about you but you will have to end up facing it just like being called fake. Fake.

Fake News Fools Millions !
On the internet there are hundreds of thousands of different news articles, but not all of them are
real. Fake news is a type of hoax or deliberate misinformation that you can find almost anywhere
mostly because of social networking platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and News Feed.
In the article "Fake News Fools Millions!" written by Carl Stoffers published on january 9, 2017
Stoffers talks about how fake news spread on social media can actually influence real–world events.
In the article there is a segment titled "Easy to do, hard to spot" and the segment primarily talks
about how hard in is to tell the difference between real news and fake news with I found the be very

Fake It Till You Make It
Confidence. Can It Truly Change Our Future? Social psychologist, Amy Cuddy in her persuasive
and informative TED Talk, "Fake It Till You Make It," claims that if you change your power
posture for two minutes, your outcomes are bound to change. She supports her claim by stating that
"our bodies change our minds, our minds change our behaviour, and our behaviour changes our
outcome," then illustrates graphs of series of test done, proving that cortisol decreases while
testosterone increases. For example, Cuddy showed an experiment on where someone who has low
confidence was less likely to gamble compared with someone who is full of confidence, those with
confidence, their testosterone increases significantly. Finally Cuddy advised the audience
