Requirements

• BEng, BSc, or BS in Electrical Engineering is required; advanced degree
preferred.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant engineering and electrical system design experience is
required
• Strong understanding of wind turbine technology, as well as a thorough
understanding of Wind Turbine IEC 61400-xx Standards and Certification is
preferred.

Responsibilities
• Design MMW wind turbine controllers.
• Optimization of MMW wind turbine controllers.
• Design and implementation of controller alarm and warning systems.
• Design of advanced control algorithms for load reduction and/or performance
enhancement.
Requirements
• Educational requirement is an engineering degree (B.Sc or B.Sc.).
• You have good knowledge of the languages relevant for MECAL, particularly
English.
• Knowledge and experience of C, C+ and similar software.
• Knowledge and experience with Matlab Simulink and code integration in
embedded systems.

Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for the design and development of the entire low
voltage electrical system including grid connection, generator and power
system.
Requirements
• Educational requirement is an engineering degree (M.Sc).
• You have good knowledge of and experience with the use of Ansys.
Profile
• Significant experience as an Electrical Engineer in a turbine design
environment.
• Must be conversant with relevant standards and design methodologies for
wind turbine LV/MV power systems and generators.
• Experience with software tools; IPSA, PSS/e, Matlab preferred.

5. Wind Turbine Inspector
Responsibilities
• Carry out independent inspections/assessments of wind farms
• Conduct video-endoscopic gearbox inspections
• Perform audits or inspections of manufacturing facilities
• Discuss inspections and progress with customers
• Coordinate own activities and, if applicable, coordinate activities of colleague-field engineers (e.g.
sub-contractors)
• Report the inspection results to the customer by writing brief and clear reports (mainly in English)
• Provide suitable solutions in unexpected situations as well as recognizing possible additional
customer needs
• Recognize possibilities for technical improvement of a wind turbine and confer this with the
colleague project-engineers
• Working in accordance with Health and Safety policies
Requirements
• Secondary vocational education (MBO in Dutch) combined with 3-5 years work experience in
Wind Energy or a starter with Higher vocational education
• Good knowledge of wind turbine systems and components, in particular gearboxes.
• Possession of / willing to get the necessary certificates (i.e. VCA, Safe working on Heights,
Offshore H&S training)
• Willingness to travel frequently
