What is the issue? 5 The issue as defined by India Club: “Over the years India Club has been able to maintain a consistent membership of approximately 400 members, both undergraduate as well as post-graduate. However, the number of new members recruited each year hides the fact that a lot of current members are hesitant to renew their membership the following academic year. This may stem from the organization being characterized solely by the events it puts together, since students who have been to a number of events may feel the lack of novelty and hence the reluctance to pay for membership again. Our eventual goal is to present India Club as an organization that members feel a sense of attachment to, as a body that brings together all students or faculty who have anything to do with the Indian culture.”
