covered under the definition of plagiarism. It is a common thing that we tend to
do especially among student. Yet some students seem willing to risk these
punishments, even though they may be putting their academic viability and future careers
in jeopardy Plagiarism could affects student in a numbers of tangible and
intangible ways especially to their academic performance such as creative
limitation, student’s grade and disciplinary action can be taken into account.
First of all, it can limit student’s creativity. Creativity is ability to generate idea
that is original and unique. So, plagiarism is apposite to creativity. It limits the
though, research and critical thinking that involved in the process of finishing the
student’s assignment. If this “copy and paste” culture continue, it will negatively
impact the overall education experience and the growth of the student.
Next, plagiarism can effect the student’s grade. When a student was caught to
plagiarist others work, a penalty will be given. The penalty will be varies based on
the significant of the assignment. For example, in a simple homework
assignment, a student may simple receive a zero for the work but on a major
project or paper, the student may fail the project or the class in the first offense. If
the first offense result in project failure, a subsequence offense may lead to
automatic class failure.
Furthermore, plagiarism is grounds for disciplinary probation, suspension or
permanent expulsion from school. All learning institution take plagiarism as a
serious matter. They assume that the student may know how to avoid it. If the
student was suspect for plagiarizing, an investigation will be conduct to determine
whether the student violated the code to an extend requiring them to get
suspension or expulsion from school. Dismissal from school can result in
deportation and embarrassment to the student’s family. The most serious matter

graduated.
In the nutshell, plagiarism can affect student’s academic performance such as
creative limitation, failure and disciplinary action. The consequences of plagiarism are far
reaching and no one is immune. So, every student should avoid this attitude. Check your
