1. What have you learned about technology from the process of constructing this
product?
While I have done my music magazine I have used a wide range of different
technology. In order to the necessary pictures I used very different equipment:
Nikon D3200 camera to take my photos.
Using this camera I learnt how to use the
different setting effectively. The advantages
of using this camera made my work easier
when it came to editing. E.g. the in-camera
feature automatically removes most typical
occurrences of red-eye.
Computer/Laptop, I used these two types of technology in order to operate
with other computer programs such as; Photoshop, Picasa edit etc.
Computer Programmes
The main programmes that I have used in order to complete a part my
magazine design was the photo editing programmes: Picasa edit,
PhotoScape and Photoshop. While using these programmes I have
developed my skills in how to use these programmes. The main tools that I
have used from the three programs are; crop tool, text tool, lighting edit and
other numerous ones.
These are the main three photo editing
programmes that I have used. While using
these photo editing programmes it made it
easier for me to get automatic image
enhancement properties like the colour
selection, adjusting brightness and other
corrections, image rotation and other basic
artistic effects. Using these programmes
allowed me to use my creativity and enhance
my pictures in order to get nice final pictures.
The logos there show the variety of all the websites and
other programmes that I have used.
Blogger: this was quite easy to use and it allowed me
present my work online.
YouTube: I used you tube in order to watch videos and get
an idea of what I should include in my double page
interview page. This allowed me to watch video and
analyse different types of questions.
Slide share: it allowed me to and embeds and share
presentation on my blog. Slide share also offered an easier
and less expensive means of content creation, as
compared to you tube.
2. Dafont.com: the use of dafont.com helped me to try out different types of fonts in order to
get a nice title.
PDF: PDF format allowed convert almost any document, from any application to a PDF
file. The PDF file looks like I printed my file on high quality paper.
Word document: using word it allowed me to gather all my information together and from
here to convert it in other files.
