Mukesh AmbaniEach team of two is going to create, through an iterative design process, a
BBQ grill and Tool Set with 3 different products. These products should
represent the specific brand.
Create the forms by researching and discovering visual attributes and
qualities related to Tool usage and grilling rituals; identify a clear market
and set of users, and relate your decisions back to your readings.
Target your designs at one specific brand and/or line of products. Sketch
in two and three dimensions, and finally create polished, primarily any
material representations of the BBQ grill and Tool Set.
In addition to researching the company, we did contextual research
involving both grilling at Gulfsteam Center of Design and visiting Home
Depot to see various Grills and accessories that are on the market today.
Through our research of different fortune 500 companies, we ultimately
chose Boeing. Our design choices arose through our research of the
brand’s clientele, visual design language and branding.

IDEATION
These are the sketches that our group made
based on the design language of Boeing’s interior and exterior design.
The following Images are a few that were chosen by the other groups in
the class. Our group chose to design a spatula, tongs and a thermometer.
9. Our grill is a teppanyaki grill which is often used at Hibachi restaurants. It will be built into the ground. We
chose this style because it gives the customer the most variety of what they can cook. We also kept in mind
that for certain clients, they would have their own chefs cooking and we thought this style would be beneficial
in that sense as well.

Nearly one million people are affected by a natural disaster each year in
the US alone. Natural disasters are the cause of incalculable deaths, a
tremendous amount of property damage, not to mention it disrupts lives
for years following. With so many more natural disasters occurring, it’s
important to develop an easily deployable, shelter to quickly give to victims
after such an occurrence.
The objective of this project was to create a shelter for victims of natural
disasters. Extensive research was conducted on natural disasters and
their drastic consequences.

language and era of a designer. My designer is Luigi Colani.
