Adolescence Life Transitioned
Adolescence is a life transition typically beginning around age 10 or 12 and lasting until ages 18 or 22. There are many biopsychosocial changes that
will take place during this life transition. This life transition is also known as the teen years, and are characterized by continued physical growth, and
significant biological changes that signal the onset of men and women's sexual maturity, and the beginning of development into adulthood. Adolescents
face important decision points concerning central life tasks such as childbearing, schooling, and career trajectories that have repercussions for health
and development throughout their life span (Chase–Lansdale, et al., 2011). Stable and supportive family environments are essential for strengthening
youth during this period of change (Chase–Lansdale, et al., 2011). Sexual maturity begins with puberty, this is characterized by rapid physical sexual
growth and often accompanied by hormonal, emotional, and other changes. The primary sexual characteristics are the development of the male and
female sexual organs, consisting of the prostate gland, the penis, the uterus, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gilligan and Kohlberg had their own theories on moral development, both theories have strengths and limitations however they both are useful
frameworks for which to theorize moral thinking and development (Rogers, 2016). Self–esteem is probably one of the most important components (of
your identity and self) that is developed or under developed during adolescence. It is not fully understood how the patterns of self–esteem unfold during
adolescence because there are so many variables to include, the timing of physical development, onset of puberty, late or on–time maturation, family
relationships, social norms, resilience, personality, and coping skills (Rogers,

they were his serious and personal works. Also, he showed the world how his piano of his day affected the type of compositions he created by

The Crucible: The Puritans Early Life
The Puritans Early Life.
In the 17th century, the early settlers, called the puritans, were best known as very religious settlers as they had hardship for there religion. Based on
the puritans early ages, if you were to lie, you were granted a greater punishment. Which could result to death by stone, or being put in the stock or
getting hanged. The early puritans were strictly all about being very religious and being all about the man upstairs. In massachusetts bay colony, it was a
man's town. The men did not appreciate anything that the woman did. But it would be really different if the men were to lie, or want a divorce or do bad.

Early-Life Disadvantages
The literature on environmental factors and their effect on health and life expectancy is extensive. Studies of mortality have found that childhood
health and socioeconomic context are important predictors, often regardless of adult experiences (Motez and Hayward 2014). One study examines
whether early–life disadvantages both shorten lives and increase the number of years lived with functional impairment (Motez and Hayward 2014).
These early life disadvantages could be health, socio–economic, or environmental related. Within levels of educational accomplishment, adults from
underprivileged childhoods lived fewer years, and spent a greater portion of life impaired compared with adults from advantaged childhoods (Motez
and Hayward 2014). Higher levels of education did not improve the health consequences of disadvantaged childhoods. However, because education
had a better impact on health than childhood socioeconomic setting, adults from disadvantaged childhoods who achieved high education levels often
had a length of life that was similar to those from privileged childhoods who achieved low education levels. (Motez and Hayward 2014). Recent
research has identified a trend that supports the research of Motez and Hayward. Historically, there has been a penalty associated with urban places,
also known as the rural mortality penalty (James 2014). However, in recent decades, a reversal has occurred (James 2014). Beginning in the
mid–1980s, rural and urban mortality rates

Early Stages Of Life Of A Child
Children are the most flexible during their early stages of life. The development of the child is very critical during their early stages. As parents play
a vital role in the life of their children, the development of the child depends on the attitude and approach of the parents. The parents should have a
very deep concern about the attitude that they adopt about raising their children so that the early stage of life could be utilized at the bets level. As the
impacts are very much critical at the early stage of the life of a child, it is important that the intervention of the parents in the life of the child is at a
balanced approach, thus ensuring that the child is being guided at the most optimum direction. The early intervention in the life of the child could be
beneficial from the aspect that the child could be headed towards the positive direction or beneficial the child at this stage of life can result the child
getting into the wrong direction of life. (Resources, 2014)
Early Intervention in the life of the child has a great deal of impact on the development of the child from several aspects such as personality and
character building; guided towards a certain direction in life.

Early Life Of Socrates
Socrates is known as one of the most famous philosophers from the early civilizations. He is best known for his own "Socratic method" which is the
base for Westerns systems of logic and philosophy. Also to this day the "Socratic method" of Socrates is still known about today and used. Surprisingly
the way we know about Socrates is not through his writing, because Socrates did not write his works down, but his disciples writing which include Plato
and Xenophon. This is the only way we know about Socrates' life is through the writings of Plato and Xenophon as well as the plays of
Aristophanes. Since these writings had other purposes besides portraying his life they most likely aren't one hundred percent accurate. Now on to
his early life, Socrates was born is Athens, Greece in 470 BC. Socrates father was Sophroniscus who was an Athenian stone mason and sculptor, and
his mother was Phaenarete who was a midwife. Socrates most likely received a basic education and was taught his dad's craft in his early life.
Supposedly Socrates worked as a mason for many years before became a full–fledge philosopher. Socrates ends up marrying a younger woman name
Xanthippe and they had three sons who were Lamprocles, Sophroniscus, and Menexenus. According to Xenophon's characterization of Xanthippe she
is "undesirable." He also writes about how Xenophon was not pleased with Socrate's second profession as a philosopher because it didn't support his
family. Also Socrates said

An Early Childhood Educator Can Reconstruct The Life Of A...
Rawlings once remarked, "I am able to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families that use this setting" (127–128). This can be true
for those who desire and want to improve lives, but how does one transform the life of another individual? Does it begin by becoming a firefighter, a
police officer, or a doctor? These are all excellent advances in improving lives, but this writer will discuss about how becoming an Early Childhood
Educator can reconstruct the life of a child (Rawlings 127).
Early Childhood Education is a profession that works with children from birth up to eight years of age (Garvis and Pendergast 104). Most of the theory
of knowledge in early childhood is that children learn through movement. When children engage through play they develop a sense of individuality that
helps them discover who they are, build relations with others, and understand their cultural background. In early childhood, the focus is on the primary
components that encourage a child's learning ability: social, physical, intellectual, language, and creativity (Wynne 14–21). Early childhood requires
some form of knowledge, whether it's a high school diploma or bachelors. Some states expect a teacher to have a license, certification, registration, and
/or a degree. Along with obtaining an academic history a teacher needs skills when engaging with children. Some skills involved are communication,
creativity, social, organization, and perseverance (Bureau of Labor Statistics

Early Life Deprivation
The Associations between early life adversity and executive function in children adopted internationally from orphanages written by Camelia E.
Hostinar, Sarah A. Stellern, Catherine Schaefer, Stephanie M. Carlson, and Megan R. Gunnar was an experimental study done to examine level of
executive function in adopted children. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether children who experienced early life deprivation showed a
reduction in executive brain functioning about one year after they were adopted. In order to investigate this claim, a study needed to be done
comparing the adopted children's brain functioning to other children around the same age who were not adopted. The study also investigated early–life
adversity influence later... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A strength of the study was the assessment of "... all three components of executive function" ( p. 17210, Hostinar et al., 2012), which included
cognitive flexibility, working memory, and inhibitory control. This assessment strengthened the study because it further proved the impacts post
institutionalized care can have on supportive relationships and less early exposure to stress can alter brain executive functioning. Another strength can
be found in the results of the study because the effects of measurement did not weaken them, researchers still "... found evidence of reduced
performance"( p. 17210, Hostinar et al., 2012) in post institutionalized children compared to children who were not adopted. A weakness of the study
was found in "... information [regarding] pre–adoption conditions came from parent reports rather than direct measures" ( p. 17210, Hostinar et al.,
2012), this information also was very limited in content. Regarding the studies results it is still uncertain how long developmental effects can be seen
on those children who are exposed to adversity at a young age; it is unclear whether or not these effects are permanent. By reducing exposure to stress
and misfortune at an early age, both improved cognitive and social functioning could result. Limiting stressful situational experiences of adolescent
children can potentially aid in executive function

Early Life Stress
Stress, defined as a state where the homeostatic functional equilibrium is disrupted and required subsequent adaptations, is inherent, inevitable and
exists in every stages of life, starting as early as the fetal stage till one's death (Kopin, 1995). In particular, early life stress (ELS) has come to light in
recent years as it is becoming increasingly prevalent and more importantly, epidemiological studies have shown that ELS increases the likelihood to
develop stress–related neuropsychiatric disorders, for example, depression and post–traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adulthood (Gibb et al., 2007;
Heim and Nemeroff, 2001; Felitti et al., 1998). This is not surprising as the exposure to ELS corresponds to the maturation period of several... Show

This illustrates the importance of examining the effects of ELS on the neuronal morphology of amygdala as it plays a pivotal role in fear–related
responses and mediating stress–induced anxiety (Vyas et al., 2006; Gale et al., 2004). While the effects of ELS on affective behaviors have been
extensively studied, remarkably little is known about the effects of ELS on amygdala, although there are substantial evidences showing functional and
anatomical defects of amygdala triggered by other stressors, such as chronic immobilization (Vyas et al., 2006; Mitra et al., 2005) and predator stress
(Mitra et al., 2009; Adamec et al., 2005). These studies indicate that, following stress, amygdala undergoes morphological changes that are apparent at
multiple levels of neural organization, which together contribute to lasting amygdala hypertrophy. Moreover, these studies also associated the
stress–induced amygdala expansion with enhanced anxiogenic behaviors and highlighted the endurance of amygdala hypertrophy even after the
removal of stressor. Henceforth, these suggest that the alterations in emotional behaviors following ELS is likely to be due to the modulations in
amygdala structures and emphasize the potential lasting adverse effects of ELS on

Early Christian Life
The Church was much different in the early days. There was strict discipline, an awareness of what it meant to be Christian and many other things
which made the Church beautiful. Although the structure and teachings of the Church have remained the same, many attractive characteristics have
been lost.. The Christian religion was not simply a domination that one belonged to. It was a lifestyle that one lived. It was a reason to live and it
was a reason to die. Many, knowing that they would be rewarded after death, suffered horrible tortures and even death for their faith. The early
Church had the joy of a young child. Like young children, the people of the Church proclaimed the good news to all. They told everyone that would
hear them in places of the public such as in forums. Many, being made aware of the gospel and being confronted with people who had been living the
life of a Christian, had a change of heart and were converted. All those who belonged to the Church knew the importance of helping one another reach
their desired end, that is, Heaven. They would encourage each other and rejoice with another when they overcame some battle. It was especially joyful

help those in need. One might believe that these rules were too strict. To understand the necessity for strict regulations a person may look at the
example of a child. Often when a household has lax rules, the children become negligent of their duties and lose the importance of doing things such as
doing the laundry. Again, when the rules are strict, one often sees the opposite happen. The children seem careless of their duties at the same time they
know the consequences of not doing certain chores around the house. In other words, order seems more vulnerable when discipline is not

Early Rome: Life In The Early Roman Republic
Life in early Rome was very developmental I would say since Rome started to flourish and really grow into its own city. The Etruscans who were the
people of Rome during this time had built the first roadbed that went to the main street throughout Rome and this happened before 575 B.C.E.
(Spielvogel, 2011). Also during this time in the Roman Republic there were certain social organizations or structures that were a big part of the daily
lives there. Families were the biggest focus in Rome though because all parts of the family really relied on each other. However the most important
member of the families was the father, known as the paterfamilias which really meant that the man had complete and utter control over his family and

At the age of seven, Al and his family moved to Port Huron, Michigan. Al was diagnosed with a developing brain fever and would eventually become
deaf. After moving, Al was sent to school in a one–room schoolhouse. He was distracted easily and always asked off–topic questions. Mr. Crawford,
Al's strict teacher, thought Al had to be punished for his disruptiveness; his mother decided to homeschool him. Becoming homeschooled gave Al much
more freedom and in his basement, Al put together his first "laboratory".
When Thomas was twelve, he got a job selling goods on a train. Every morning, Thomas took the Port Huron train to Detroit and returned later in the
day. On this three–hour journey, he would walk up and down the aisles selling fruits and sandwiches. After the arrival, he had some time to kill
before their departure back; Tom bought newspaper, candy, books, and postcards to also sell. He still had spare time during his train travel so he
decided to open a small science lab to occupy

Charlie's Early Life Analysis
Despite his intellectual and emotional growth, Charlie's later life was impacted in dramatic ways by his childhood. Charlie's mother, Rose, had
methods of conditioning for Charlie when he was growing up. Nevertheless, these methods of conditioning would influence Charlie's later thoughts
and actions.Rose would beat Charlie for being incapable of living a normal life. Her one goal in life was for Charlie to fit in with the other
children. "He's better off dead. He'll never be able to live a normal life." This would become significant in Charlie's life by making him determined to
learn, associating learning with punishment, and acting uncomfortable around women. Due to his early childhood conditioning, Charlie was
determined to be able to learn to read and write. Charlie was motivated to learn because he thought that if he were smart, he would have more
friends."I just want to be smart like other people so I can have lots of friends who like me." Moreover, during Charlie's childhood, his mother tried
everything to make Charlie intelligent. "Don't tell me there's nothing they can do. He's going to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Charlie sees women as being connected to punishment. Growing up, if Charlie would even look at a woman, he would be disciplined. This caused
problems for Charlie because it was hard for him to express love and compassion to a woman. He viewed doing anything with a woman or even just
glancing at a woman as being an wicked undertaking. The way Charlie was raised, interacting with a woman in any manner, even by simply looking at
her, would result in punishment. "I pictured myself being caught by this eager mob and beaten and torn by them. I deserved it. I almost wanted it."
Even by not doing anything unethical, Charlie wanted and knew he should be punished for interacting with a woman. As a consequence of this
conditioning, Charlie remained uncomfortable around women throughout his

Early Life Stress Experiments
The hypothesis proposed was finding how the brain is rewired to cause depression. The hypotheses tested involved finding how chronic early–life
stress can impact adult emotional function, and what roles do microglial cells have in rewiring the brain. The experiments conducted used mice in two
groups, an experimental group that underwent chronic early life stress and a control. Hormone production analysis for each subject occurred as the
experiment proceeded. The mice underwent object recognition tasks, followed by sucrose and forced swim tests to quantify the effects of depression
and anhedonia. Reduction of CRH production then occurred via short–hairpin RNA intervention in target mice. The mice were then retested, and given
a social play test. The experiment then analyzed the synapse function of the control and CES mice. Cell imaging determined neuron expression, with
further testing being conducted that focused on the analysis of microglial cells in a developing fetus.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The CES mice in comparison to the control possessed memory deficits and a lower preference for sucrose, and were quicker to become immobile in
water. Short–hairpin treatment reduced the effects of chronic stresses. CES mice behavior after treatment resembled the control, showing no memory
deficits, and an increase preference for sucrose. Analysis on neuron function of the mice determined that early life experiences alter the programming of
stress–sensitive CRH expressing neurons. Early life stresses were found to impair the function of microglia, which phagocytize excess synapses in

nightmare. Every family member become suspicious of his sudden attitudes, specially his school grades. His mother was very concerned about this, but
no one did anything about it, until way later.
In his first day in elementary school, being just 8 years old, he was having a hard time at school. The days where long for Harry, he wished to be at

Compare And Contrast Lee Iacocca And My Early Life
An Autobiography by Lee Iacocca might be similar with My Early Life by Winston Churchill, however Churchill's text is a memoir while Iacocca's is
an autobiography. Both texts are aimed at those who might be inspired by the two great leaders famous for their achievements in history, or to those
who want to become them, or simply those who are interested in their stories. Despite a common audience, the tones of the two texts vary greatly as a
memoir retells a memory as vividly and captivating as possible, whilst an autobiography creates a conversational, intimate experience. Two different
tones are created in these texts through the varied use of diction, content, and structure. Firstly, the diction used by the two different texts are very

The extract of An Autobiography details Iacocca's years at school, and how he acquired his writing and debating skills through the activities at
school. The content of this autobiography is very simple and concise. This can be seen when Iacocca explained "She(Iacocca's teacher) would quiz us
on the Word Power Game...after a few months of the quizzes, we knew a lot of words". Immediately, another paragraph proceeds, as Iacocca recalls "i
joined the debate team...that's where i learned how to think on my feet". The content in An Autobiography is fast–moving, where the cause and result
is explained, and rapidly another point is brought up. Such content with little continuity and very concise explanations resemble the speech of an
interview, where the interviewee would answer a question as directly as possible. The straightforward tone created by the content of An Autobiography,
provides a conversational mood. The content of My Early Life by Winston Churchill is significantly unsimilar to that of An Autobiography. Churchill
recalls his memories in a very fluent and interconnected manner, where one event with one central theme is elaborated and detailed using a sequence
of descriptions. After the headmaster asks Churchill "you have never done any latin before have you?", Churchill is asked to memorise various latin
words, and then after a

Siddhartha's Early Life
The Buddhist monk sat cross–legged on a mountain top, inhaling and exhaling while focusing his mind. He was trying to reach the state of
enlightenment discovered by the religion's founder Siddhartha Gautama. Siddhartha's early life greatly affected and influenced the beliefs and values
found in the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold path, and the Dhammapada. Precisely his early life in the palace affected the second noble truth, his four
journeys impacted the first noble truth, and his experiences influenced the Dhammapada.
The second noble truth is avidya or ignorance and has myriad connections to the Siddhartha's life before he became the Buddha. During his childhood

As the fish, taken out of its watery home and thrown on land, thrashes around, so does the mind tremble, while freeing itself from the dominion of
Mara (the Evil One)." The connection between the passage and the Buddha's life is how the Buddha's mind trembled and thrashed while freeing itself
from the chains of Mara to reach enlightenment. To reach enlightenment the Buddha went through four jhanas. During the jhanas the Buddha had to
face Mara and not let his mind tremble. Mara unleashed his worst for Siddhartha. During the first jhana Mara threw flaming arrows down on
Siddhartha, but because of his deep concentration on his mind turned the arrows into harmless lotus flowers. During the next jhana Mara unleashed his
three daughters to seduce Siddhartha and make his mind tremble. But do too Siddhartha's control he was able to completely free himself from the
dominion of Mara. Also in the Dhammapada, " Having perceived this significant fact, let the wise and self–restrained man quickly clear the path that
leads to nirvana." This passage was influenced during when Siddhartha saw a musician tuning his sitars and perceived the way to reach nirvana. He
discovered that balance between self–restrain and meditation. With that he quickly cleared the obstacles out of his path and reached nirvana with his
newfound knowledge. Both of these quotes found in the Dhammapada were strongly influenced by Siddhartha's life, what he witnessed, and what he
experienced. Siddhartha's experiences

Early Life Of The Minotaus
Imagine having the body of a man, but the head and tail of a bull. Now imagine your mom is a human and your dad is a giant bull. This is what the
Minotaur had to deal with his entire life. The Minotaur was the most unfortunate character in Greek mythology considering his appearance, early life,
and adulthood. The Minotaur had a terrible body appearance. He had the head and tail of a bull, but the body of a man. He was very large and
considered a monster and an unnatural being because of how he looked (Karas). Many people also probably ran away from the Minotaur even only
after getting a glimpse of him, not even getting to know him more. This could've been a contributing factor as to why he started eating people later in
life. The Minotaur also had the worst early life of any character in mythology. For one, his dad was a great white bull, and his mom, Pasiphae, was a
normal human (Garcia). Many people wonder how his parents were two different creatures. Minos, the husband of Pasiphae, once had two brothers,
and they all wanted to become King of Crete after their father passed away. He bragged that he had the favor of the gods and could ask for anything.
He prayed to Poseidon, and he listened to Minos. Poseidon sent him a majestic white bull and told him to sacrifice it. Having received the bull, Minos
demonstrated his power to his brothers and became king, but he did not sacrifice the white bull. Poseidon became angry, and cursed Pasiphae to fall in
love with the bull.

Shakespeare is known for his abilities to write and is still considered to be one of the best British writers to this day. "While William Shakespeare's
reputation is based primarily on his plays, he became famous first as a poet" (Poetry Foundation). Shakespeare's early life is important to his career
because it represents how he became a famous poet and playwright. Then when he moved into his mid–years which is where he grows and creates
some of his most famous works in his lifetime, but "yet, the personal history of William Shakespeare is somewhat a mystery" (Biography). Then again
Shakespeare became most famous after his death because today schools cover his tragedies like Romeo and Juliet, Caesar and Macbeth.
William Shakespeare was baptized on April 23, 1564, there is no record of his birth because back then they weren't born in hospitals it was at

alderman and in 1568 bailiff (the position corresponding to a mayor, before the grant of a further charter" (Poetry Foundation). He believed to have
two older sisters, Joan and Judith. His father was a successful merchant, who later got a position that today would resemble being a major. William
Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. His very first born were twins, Hamnet and Judith. "February 2, 1585, twins were

Early Life of a Prophet
Early Life of the Prophet Muhammad (whose name means "highly praised") was born in Mecca in 570 AD. His father died shortly before his birth,
and he lost his mother at the age of six. The young orphan was then raised mostly by his uncle, as a young man, Muhammad worked as a camel driver
between Syria and Arabia. Soon he established a career managing caravans for merchants. Through his travel first with his uncle and later in his career,
Muhammad came into contact with people of many nationalities and faiths, including Jews, Christians and pagans. At age 25, Muhammad was
employed by Khadija, a wealthy Meccan widow 15 years his senior. The two were married, and by all accounts enjoyed a loving and happy marriage.

He simply preached what he had received. In the first three years of his ministry, Muhammad gained only 40 followers. And as his teachings
threatened the Meccan way of life, both moral and economic, he and his followers experienced heavy persecution. It first took the form of mockery,
but soon turned into open violence. Members of the small movement were stoned, covered in dirt as they prayed, beat with sticks, thrown into prison
and refused service by merchants.
Hijira Persecution continued to increase until Muhammad received some welcome news: he had gained followers in the city of Yathrib, 280 miles
north of Mecca. The city was in need of a strong leader, and a delegation from Yathrib proposed that Muhammad take the job. In return, they pledged
to worship Allah only, obey Muhammad and defend him and his followers to the death. Allah revealed to Muhammad his approval of this
arrangement, and Muhammad made plans to escape to Yathrib. The leaders in Mecca heard of the planned escape, and attempted to prevent it. But
Muhammad and his close friend Abu Bakr managed to make a narrow escape north out of the city, and avoiding a Meccan search party and arriving
safely in Yathrib. This event is celebrated by Muslims as the Hijira. The year in which it occurred, 622, is the date at which the Muslim calendar
begins. Yathrib was renamed Medinat al–Nabi, "the City of the Prophet," and is now known simply as Medina, "the City."

The Early Life And Career
The "Early Life and Career" of John Pemberton stated that he was born on January 8, 1831 in Knoxville, in Crawford County. Pemberton grew up
and attended the local schools in Rome. His family lived there almost thirty years. He studied medicine and pharmaceutical practices at the Reform
Medical College of Georgia in Macon. In 1850, at age nineteen, he was licensed to practice with Thomsonian medicine and the Botanic Principles. And
such pharmaceutical practitioners during that time relied heavily on herbal remedies and on purifying the body of toxins that seemed commonly
suspicious to the general public. Pemberton, "otherwise known as Doc," practiced medicine and surgical prodecures first in Rome along with the
surrounding areas and then afterwards in Columbia. In 1855 he established a wholesale retail drug business specializing in material media. Before the
Civil War he acquired a graduate degree in pharmacy, but the exact date and place are unknown. Pemberton and the Columbus Company were part of
the analytical and manufacturing laboratories which were unique in the south. While Pemberton had one great obsession which was to create medicine
and the perfect beverage, he although invented a lot of patent medicines and owned a successful chemist's store. He wanted to do something more,
something bigger. At age fifty, his chief interest in life was to patent a so–called medicated drink which could not only make him a fortune but also
secure a place in scientific history

With two of her brothers, Harriet fled to Philadelphia, on September 17th 1849. However, her brothers decided to return to the plantations, while
Harriet continued to Pennsylvania using the Underground railroad. However, instead of staying in Pennsylvania, Harriet risked her life, and went
back to help rescue others from slavery. One of the times, when she went back for her husband, she had found that he had remarried, and wished to
stay in Maryland. Undeterred, Harriet carried on, rescuing some of her family members, including her parents and 60 others were rescued, earning her
the nickname 'Moses'.
In 1850, the Underground railroad's route had to be changed to lead to Canada, which prohibited slavery, since a new law that passed stated that
runaway slaves in the north could be captured and brought back to slavery.
She helped free so many slaves that at one point, $40,000 was offered for her capture.

Life Transition In Early Adulthood

  • 1. Life Transition In Early Adulthood BSE Final Diana M. Medina Simmons School of Social Work Adolescence Life Transitioned Adolescence is a life transition typically beginning around age 10 or 12 and lasting until ages 18 or 22. There are many biopsychosocial changes that will take place during this life transition. This life transition is also known as the teen years, and are characterized by continued physical growth, and significant biological changes that signal the onset of men and women's sexual maturity, and the beginning of development into adulthood. Adolescents face important decision points concerning central life tasks such as childbearing, schooling, and career trajectories that have repercussions for health and development throughout their life span (Chase–Lansdale, et al., 2011). Stable and supportive family environments are essential for strengthening youth during this period of change (Chase–Lansdale, et al., 2011). Sexual maturity begins with puberty, this is characterized by rapid physical sexual growth and often accompanied by hormonal, emotional, and other changes. The primary sexual characteristics are the development of the male and female sexual organs, consisting of the prostate gland, the penis, the uterus, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gilligan and Kohlberg had their own theories on moral development, both theories have strengths and limitations however they both are useful frameworks for which to theorize moral thinking and development (Rogers, 2016). Self–esteem is probably one of the most important components (of your identity and self) that is developed or under developed during adolescence. It is not fully understood how the patterns of self–esteem unfold during adolescence because there are so many variables to include, the timing of physical development, onset of puberty, late or on–time maturation, family relationships, social norms, resilience, personality, and coping skills (Rogers, ... • 8. Early-Life Disadvantages The literature on environmental factors and their effect on health and life expectancy is extensive. Studies of mortality have found that childhood health and socioeconomic context are important predictors, often regardless of adult experiences (Motez and Hayward 2014). One study examines whether early–life disadvantages both shorten lives and increase the number of years lived with functional impairment (Motez and Hayward 2014). These early life disadvantages could be health, socio–economic, or environmental related. Within levels of educational accomplishment, adults from underprivileged childhoods lived fewer years, and spent a greater portion of life impaired compared with adults from advantaged childhoods (Motez and Hayward 2014). Higher levels of education did not improve the health consequences of disadvantaged childhoods. However, because education had a better impact on health than childhood socioeconomic setting, adults from disadvantaged childhoods who achieved high education levels often had a length of life that was similar to those from privileged childhoods who achieved low education levels. (Motez and Hayward 2014). Recent research has identified a trend that supports the research of Motez and Hayward. Historically, there has been a penalty associated with urban places, also known as the rural mortality penalty (James 2014). However, in recent decades, a reversal has occurred (James 2014). • 10. Early Stages Of Life Of A Child Children are the most flexible during their early stages of life. The development of the child is very critical during their early stages. As parents play a vital role in the life of their children, the development of the child depends on the attitude and approach of the parents. • 11. Early Life Of Socrates Socrates is known as one of the most famous philosophers from the early civilizations. He is best known for his own "Socratic method" which is the base for Westerns systems of logic and philosophy. Also to this day the "Socratic method" of Socrates is still known about today and used. Surprisingly the way we know about Socrates is not through his writing, because Socrates did not write his works down, but his disciples writing which include Plato and Xenophon. This is the only way we know about Socrates' life is through the writings of Plato and Xenophon as well as the plays of Aristophanes. Since these writings had other purposes besides portraying his life they most likely aren't one hundred percent accurate. Now on to his early life, Socrates was born is Athens, Greece in 470 BC. Socrates father was Sophroniscus who was an Athenian stone mason and sculptor, and his mother was Phaenarete who was a midwife. Socrates most likely received a basic education and was taught his dad's craft in his early life. Supposedly Socrates worked as a mason for many years before became a full–fledge philosopher. Socrates ends up marrying a younger woman name Xanthippe and they had three sons who were Lamprocles, Sophroniscus, and Menexenus. According to Xenophon's characterization of Xanthippe she is "undesirable." • 14. An Early Childhood Educator Can Reconstruct The Life Of A... Rawlings once remarked, "I am able to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families that use this setting" (127–128). This can be true for those who desire and want to improve lives, but how does one transform the life of another individual? Does it begin by becoming a firefighter, a police officer, or a doctor? These are all excellent advances in improving lives, but this writer will discuss about how becoming an Early Childhood Educator can reconstruct the life of a child (Rawlings 127). Early Childhood Education is a profession that works with children from birth up to eight years of age (Garvis and Pendergast 104). Most of the theory of knowledge in early childhood is that children learn through movement. When children engage through play they develop a sense of individuality that helps them discover who they are, build relations with others, and understand their cultural background. In early childhood, the focus is on the primary components that encourage a child's learning ability: social, physical, intellectual, language, and creativity (Wynne 14–21). Early childhood requires some form of knowledge, whether it's a high school diploma or bachelors. Some states expect a teacher to have a license, certification, registration, and /or a degree. Along with obtaining an academic history a teacher needs skills when engaging with children. Some skills involved are communication, creativity, social, organization, and perseverance (Bureau of Labor Statistics ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Early Life Deprivation The Associations between early life adversity and executive function in children adopted internationally from orphanages written by Camelia E. Hostinar, Sarah A. Stellern, Catherine Schaefer, Stephanie M. Carlson, and Megan R. Gunnar was an experimental study done to examine level of executive function in adopted children. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether children who experienced early life deprivation showed a reduction in executive brain functioning about one year after they were adopted. In order to investigate this claim, a study needed to be done comparing the adopted children's brain functioning to other children around the same age who were not adopted. The study also investigated early–life adversity influence later... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A strength of the study was the assessment of "... all three components of executive function" ( p. 17210, Hostinar et al., 2012), which included cognitive flexibility, working memory, and inhibitory control. This assessment strengthened the study because it further proved the impacts post institutionalized care can have on supportive relationships and less early exposure to stress can alter brain executive functioning. Another strength can be found in the results of the study because the effects of measurement did not weaken them, researchers still "... found evidence of reduced performance"( p. 17210, Hostinar et al., 2012) in post institutionalized children compared to children who were not adopted. A weakness of the study was found in "... information [regarding] pre–adoption conditions came from parent reports rather than direct measures" ( p. 17210, Hostinar et al., 2012), this information also was very limited in content. Regarding the studies results it is still uncertain how long developmental effects can be seen on those children who are exposed to adversity at a young age; it is unclear whether or not these effects are permanent. By reducing exposure to stress and misfortune at an early age, both improved cognitive and social functioning could result. Limiting stressful situational experiences of adolescent children can potentially aid in executive function ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. Early Life Stress Stress, defined as a state where the homeostatic functional equilibrium is disrupted and required subsequent adaptations, is inherent, inevitable and exists in every stages of life, starting as early as the fetal stage till one's death (Kopin, 1995). In particular, early life stress (ELS) has come to light in recent years as it is becoming increasingly prevalent and more importantly, epidemiological studies have shown that ELS increases the likelihood to develop stress–related neuropsychiatric disorders, for example, depression and post–traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adulthood (Gibb et al., 2007; Heim and Nemeroff, 2001; Felitti et al., 1998). This is not surprising as the exposure to ELS corresponds to the maturation period of several... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This illustrates the importance of examining the effects of ELS on the neuronal morphology of amygdala as it plays a pivotal role in fear–related responses and mediating stress–induced anxiety (Vyas et al., 2006; Gale et al., 2004). While the effects of ELS on affective behaviors have been extensively studied, remarkably little is known about the effects of ELS on amygdala, although there are substantial evidences showing functional and anatomical defects of amygdala triggered by other stressors, such as chronic immobilization (Vyas et al., 2006; Mitra et al., 2005) and predator stress (Mitra et al., 2009; Adamec et al., 2005). These studies indicate that, following stress, amygdala undergoes morphological changes that are apparent at multiple levels of neural organization, which together contribute to lasting amygdala hypertrophy. Moreover, these studies also associated the stress–induced amygdala expansion with enhanced anxiogenic behaviors and highlighted the endurance of amygdala hypertrophy even after the removal of stressor. Henceforth, these suggest that the alterations in emotional behaviors following ELS is likely to be due to the modulations in amygdala structures and emphasize the potential lasting adverse effects of ELS on ... • 24. How Becoming An Early Childhood Educator Can Reconstruct... Former guide writer for "Studying Early Years: A guide To Work –Based Learning" Anne Rawlings once remarked, "I am able to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families that use this setting" (127–128). Rawlings quote can be true for those who desire and want to improve lives, but how does one transform the life of another individual? Does it begin by becoming a firefighter, a police officer, or a doctor? These are excellent advances in improving lives because they all deal with helping individuals in any way. This writer will discuss about how becoming an EarlyChildhood Educator can reconstruct the life of a child (Rawlings 127). Early Childhood Education is a profession that works with children from birth up to eight years of age (Garvis and Pendergast 104). The theory of knowledge in early childhood is that children learn through movement. When children engage through play they develop a sense of individuality that helps them discover who they are, build relations, and understand their cultural background. In early childhood, the focus is on the primary components that encourage a child's learning ability: social, physical, intellectual, language, and creativity (Wynne 14–21). Early childhood requires some form of knowledge, whether it is a high school diploma or bachelors. Some states expect a teacher to hold a license, certification, registration, and/or a degree. Along with obtaining an academic education a teacher needs skills when engaging with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was a lifestyle that one lived. It was a reason to live and it was a reason to die. Like young children, the people of the Church proclaimed the good news to all. They told everyone that would hear them in places of the public such as in forums. Many, being made aware of the gospel and being confronted with people who had been living the life of a Christian, had a change of heart and were converted. The hypotheses tested involved finding how chronic early–life stress can impact adult emotional function, and what roles do microglial cells have in rewiring the brain. The experiments conducted used mice in two groups, an experimental group that underwent chronic early life stress and a control. Hormone production analysis for each subject occurred as the experiment proceeded. The mice underwent object recognition tasks, followed by sucrose and forced swim tests to quantify the effects of depression and anhedonia. Reduction of CRH production then occurred via short–hairpin RNA intervention in target mice. The mice were then retested, and given a social play test. The experiment then analyzed the synapse function of the control and CES mice. Both texts are aimed at those who might be inspired by the two great leaders famous for their achievements in history, or to those who want to become them, or simply those who are interested in their stories. Despite a common audience, the tones of the two texts vary greatly as a memoir retells a memory as vividly and captivating as possible, whilst an autobiography creates a conversational, intimate experience.
