2. Kitchen is the place where people cook. In kitchen, we can find many useful and
interesting things. Those are kitchen tools and cooking materialbut I’m more focus on
the tools of kitchen for example spoon, fork, spatula, chopsticks and others.I want
know more about kitchen tools becausethey stands important role in kitchen, and I
started to observe and analyze the kitchen tools. The kitchentool that I observe
isspoon.The reason I choose spoon because I found that spoon interesting and it got
many function. I felt curious when I eating, and we always use it when we having our
meal. Every times I hold the spoon; I want to know more about it function and it
characteristic so I decide tochoose spoon as my observe target and do more
research about it and to know more about it.
Spoon hasalong and interesting story. I think nobody knows when first spoon was
used, but archaeologicalfindings can place some of the ornamental and religious
spoons in the area of 1000 years BC.Currently, spoons dominate our modern way of
preparing and serving food.Generally, spoon has a small size and long shape, most
of the spoonlength is 11.8cm and itsweight is 25g.Most of the spoons made fromthe
material like wood, steel, brass, plastic and others were often used for eating
ingredients for both people.Spoons are used primarily for eating liquid or semi-liquid
foods, like soup, stew or ice cream, and verysmall or powdery solid items which
cannot be easily lifted with a fork, such as rice, sugar, and others.I also try to use it
as a fork to eat noodles, but it can’tbecause it head shape is oval, it difficult hold the
noodles probably, so I know use spoon to eat noodles is quiet impossible.
Most of the spoon thatI see is silvercolour.It is very light like I’m holding a pen only. It
has shiny surfaceand I can see the reflection of myself in it smooth surface.When I
touch it surface, I felt it surface is smooth and cool and it also got a hard surface if it
is steel spoon.It handle make from many different type for example some make by
plastic, steel, wood and others. If handle is steel it can’t pass heat faster but we will
fell that the handle is hot. When the steel spoon conducts with heat it will become
very hot but it can stand with high temperature.Furthermore, when I usethe spoon
andI accidentallyhit the table, it produced a clear and loud sound.Besides, it smells is
like the smell of steelwhen it still new but after we use it for long time, it smell
contain some mixed food that we eatand it is taste just nothing when I taste it, the
taste of spoon is tasteless no matter it is new or not.
Moreover spoonhas many useful functions. I know think most of the people think
spoon just use for eating, but it also containing many useful functions.Spoons are
also widely used in cooking and serving. In baking, batter is usually thin enough to
pour or drop from a spoon. A spoon is similarly useful in processing jelly, sugar and
syrup. Besides that, spoon also can use as a musical instrument. It because the
spoon got a clear, loud and nice sound wave when hit, so got some people use it as
a musical instrument.Used for stirring, a spoon is passed through a substance with a
continuedcircular movement for the purpose of mixing, blending, dissolving, cooling,
or preventing sticking of the ingredients. Mixed drinks may be "muddled" by working
a spoon to crush and mix ingredients such as mint and sugar on the bottom of a

3. glass or mixer. Spoons are employed for mixing certain typeof powder into water to
make a sweet and tastydrink. A spoon may also be employed to toss ingredients by
mixing them lightly until they are well coated with a dressing.
Before I stop, I don’t feel frustrated and anxiousof my object becausespoon contains
many useful function and many interesting shape, material and design depend on
the company. After observe, I had learntmany useful and interesting experience of
spoon. I never thought that a small kitchen tools that use in our daily life have a lot of
useful to us. Lastly, spoonis agreat invention and useful to our world. So thisis the
observed and analyse aboutspoon.
