2. intention? • I intend to produce a music video around my chosen artist, Corey Bowen. • It will use the conventions I have found in my research i.e. live film • I also intend to utilize E-media, to aid in his rising fame through • This will be done through social media i.e. Twitter, Facebook and Youtube • My end goal is to not only benefit myself in coursework but Corey too.
4. Genre • The genre of Corey's music follows a psychedelic, easy listening nature. • Through my research I have found many other artists to base my ideas off: • Christopher Owens, T-Rex, Mac Demarco, Palma Violets, Everly Brothers etc
5. Generic conventions • Film and shots of the band playing live shows, crowd shots etc • The band and the artist, working, writing music, practices etc • Their daily lives, out and about, having fun etc • Or taking a different style, more of a story to match the lyrics and theme • These will used in conjuncture with the Corey to create something great
6. setting and locations • The location will largely be within the Middlesbrough area • Settings will include places such as the streets, pubs and bars, home etc • Some of the shots however will likely be set in venues all over the UK
7. Characters • The video will likely feature just the artist and his friends i.e. me :) • However, the video may also include shots of the public and audiences
8. Props/Costumes/mise-en-scene • The video will actually feature very little in the way of this • The artist and friends will likely be seen in their regular clothes • The props to be used will simply be just the instruments etc
9. image/lighting and sound • The image will hopefully match the genre of music • A sort of vintage, warm, happy vibe, using greyscales and old cameras • The video will mostly be moving image with very little still frames
10. editing and effects • N/A Other than simple cuts from shot to shot and changing lighting
11. Use of sound • The song? This will be chosen by me and Corey himself
13.
