OWEN MCGOVERN - PROGRAMME MANAGER (First aid andWelfare Officer)
Owen has been providing education and childcare provision for the past 16 years. He set up Oxford Spires
Language School to address a need for more flexible and ‘different’ English learning options for overseas
students
ANDREW BROWN DIRECTOR OF STUDIES
Andrew has been involved in running high quality language courses for more than 25 years, and are not just very good at it,
he is also highly qualified. Andrew has Master’s degrees inTEFL and also in Marketing Education. Is also an approved
teacher trainer for the OxfordTeachers’ Academy (operated jointly byOxford University Press and OxfordUniversity
Department of Continuing Education)
KEITH PONSFORD - PROGRAMMEASSISTANT
Keith is a former Primary Headteacher in Oxford for the past 25 years and is also head of the Oxfordshire
Headteachers association. Keith has extensive experience in mainstream education and the development of
English language in Primary schools for children from non-native families. Keith has a passion for education and
enjoys all sports especially Rugby.
Keith main focus has been on the co-ordination of integration programmes within primary and secondary schools
in Oxford.
