How to Log in to Gmail.com
Logging in to your Google account is a matter of typing in your name, a username, password,
password confirmation, your birthday, gender and a mobile phone number. You will be asked for your
current email address and asked to type in the text you see in a photo. Google has made it very easy to
have one account for all their services, including Google Plus and YouTube. Once your Google account
is created signing in is just a matter of a few easy steps.
1. Type in www.gmail.com. In the upper right hand corner is a sign in link to click that will take you to
the Gmail log in page.

and type in your user name, e.g. johnsmith2000@gmail.com
4. Directly below the Email box is a box with "password". You can either press tab to move to the next
box or click on the empty box. In the password box enter your password. The letters and numbers
will only appear as **** for security purposes.
5. Click log in or hit enter and this will open your email account.
Problems when logging in?
Gmail will bring you back to the area where there is an error with a message that tells you what the
issue is.
Having entered an incorrect password is one of the most common problems duruing the gmail login,
especially since the password is security protected with "**" when inputting it. Make sure that you don't

2. Find your profile picture at the top right corner of the screen. Clicking this round profile picture will
open a dropdown menu with several options related to managing your gmail account. At the very
bottom you will find a link that will allow you to sign out of your gmail account.
3. Once you have clicked the sign out link, you will be redirected to the Gmail login page. If you want to
regain access to your email inbox, you can then use your username and password to log in to your
account as it is described above.
