Computer Code of Conduct
Student Agreement
The computers at Camberwell South Primary School are only to be used for
educational purposes
I agree to follow all teacher instructions regarding the use of computers and the Internet.
While using the computers:
 I will respect the privacy of others and not interfere with their files
 I will respect the expensive equipment provided for my use by not vandalising or interfering
with the computer’s setup
 I will seek approval before printing
While I have access to the internet:
• I will only use it for activities related to my school work
• When emailing I will be polite and use appropriate language
• I will not look for anything that is illegal, dangerous or offensive
• If I accidentally come across something that is illegal, dangerous or offensive, I will
immediately, switch off the monitor and quietly, inform the teacher
• I will not reveal home address or phone numbers – mine or anyone else’s
• I will not copy information and claim the work of others as my own (this is plagiarism)
• I will not download material from the internet without permission
I understand that if the school decides I have broken these rules, appropriate action will be taken.
This may include loss of my computer or internet access and/or contacting my parents.
