This document outlines the membership guidelines for the Quality System Basics (QSB) organization, including details on individual and company membership categories and benefits. Individual membership has three categories - Dynamic, Diligent, and Lifetime - with increasing benefits and requirements for encouraging other professionals to join. The highest individual categories are Member and Fellow, which provide Chartered Quality Professional status. Company membership provides frameworks for organizations to develop quality knowledge across levels and supports strategic objectives through access to training and industry information.

QSB Membership Guidelines
QSB membership is a way of visibly demonstrating your competence and ability to positively impact an organization's capability to
deliver quality and to identify and deliver improvement. Membership is your commitment to the profession and its professional
standards. It enhances your status with colleagues and employers alike and helps you stay ahead of the competition in your
career.
Individual Membership Category:
Dynamic Member: Anyone who are interested to become a quality professional can apply for membership in QSB.
Membership fees for Dynamic member is INR 3,000 for Associate grade, for other grades INR 5,000.
Benefits for Dynamic Members:
ü He/she will get QSB membership card with Photo Identity
ü Will get 20% discount in fee of all Public trainings, seminars and certification courses
ü Will get QSB Quarterly e-magazines in their In-box
ü Will get e-training material and e-books on Quality, systems, auditing, innovation and latest quality trends
ü Will get information on newly published National and International standards
ü Will be invited in Annual seminars (no charges to attend annual seminar)
ü Will get recognition during annual seminar for best performance and contribution in present Organization
If you encourage your colleagues to become members at least 10 with in a year, then your annual subscription charges for next year
will be waived off.
Diligent Member:
Dynamic Members will be promoted as Diligent members if they encourage their colleagues to become the QSB members and get success to
add 50 Dynamic members.
Benefits for Diligent Members: (In addition to Dynamic Members)
ü Will get up to 30% discount in fee of all Public trainings, seminars and certification courses
ü First 100 Diligent member’s information will be updated on QSB website
ü Will be invited in Experience sharing programme with Quality professionals from Japan & India
Life time Member :
Dynamic / Diligent Members will be promoted as Life time members if they encourage their colleagues to become the QSB Dynamic members
and get success to add 100 Dynamic members.
Benefits for Life time Members: (In addition to Diligent Members)

QSB Certificate or Diploma.

5. Practitioner – QSB (PQSB)
For
those
actively
practicing
quality
as
part
of
their
job
role
or
those
specializing
in
specific
aspects
of
quality,
such
as
inspection,
quality
control,
quality
assurance,
systems
management,
audit,
business
improvement,
supplier
quality
management,
certification,
service
quality,
regulatory
compliance.
Learning
Requirements
New
Practitioners
demonstrate
acquisition
of
knowledge
in
at
least
one
aspect
of
quality.
This
will
be
through
a
quality
related
qualification
or
training
programme
of
at
least
30
hours’
of
study
time,
which
they
can
show
they
have
successfully
completed
through
a
certificate
of
achievement
or
assessment
(Please
note
that
a
certificate
of
attendance
is
not
sufficient
evidence).
They
might
demonstrate
their
learning
through
the
successful
completion
of
at
least
one
unit
of
a
QSB
qualification
(QSB
Level
1
or
Level
2),
an
IRCA
Certified
Lead
Auditor
course,
or
through
other
relevant
quality-‐related
qualifications
and
training,
including
evidenced
and
verified
on-‐the-‐job
learning.
Experience
and
impact
New
Practitioners
demonstrate
that
they
have
a
minimum
of
two
years'
quality
related
work
experience
through
submission
of
a
CV,
and
that
they
have
successfully
applied
their
knowledge
in
a
work
context
through
submission
of
a
completed
Practitioner
Portfolio
Form.

6. Member QSB - Chartered Quality Professional (MQSB-CQP)
For those professionals who have quality as a key discipline or as the focus of their
work. The Member (MQSB) grade will recognise your professional competence and
put you on equal terms with other chartered professionals, increasing your status and
potential for career progression.
Requirements
Work experience
You need at least five years' quality management or systems experience, two of which should be in a
managerial or supervisory capacity (including the management of people, processes or systems).
Competence
You need to demonstrate knowledge of the Body of Quality Knowledge (BoQK).
Choose your route:
Qualification route (in addition to work experience)
You should have one of the following:
The QSB Diploma in Quality (NQF), or
QSB Diploma in Quality Management (2010 syllabus - QCF), or
A degree level qualification with a high proportion of quality content, or
A degree level qualification in a different discipline plus one of the following:
The QSB Diploma in Quality (NQF) modules: D1 Principles of Quality and Data Analysis and D2 Quality
Management
The QSB Diploma in Quality Management (2010 syllabus - QCF) units:
U502 Management Systems Models (level 2), U504 Quality Management (level 2) and any other QSB
level 2 unit (except U512 Business Research)

8. Fellow QSB - Chartered Quality Professional (FQSB-CQP)
This is the highest grade of professional recognition offered by the QSB. Fellow
(FQSB) is a chartered grade providing you with Chartered Quality Professional (CQP)
status, and signifies that you have demonstrated a substantial achievement or made a
personal contribution to furthering the profession of quality.
Requirements
Work experience
You need at least five years' quality management or systems experience, two of which must be in a managerial
or supervisory capacity. You also need to have or have recently held a senior management position.
Competence
You must meet the following six competence requirements for QSB Member, but not necessarily have held the
grade of QSB Member:
General quality principles and approaches
Quality leadership
Reducing cost and supporting improvement and innovation
Customer focus and partnerships
Conformity, regulation and risk
Corporate care and responsibility
In addition, you must demonstrate a greater depth and breadth of competence in the Body of Quality
Knowledge. This is done by submission of a portfolio of evidence and a completed portfolio form, which can be
found below under the Apply section.

9. Eminence
You must have made a personal contribution to furthering the quality profession by at least one of
the following:
Expertise in a particular field
Exceptional service to the QSB
As with the competence, evidence of eminence is demonstrated through the completion of the
portfolio form and submission of a portfolio of evidence.
