Jesus taught the idea that he was the son of God, and he emphasized God's love and the obedience
of the Ten Commandments to his followers. The apostles Jesus recruited believed he was the
messiah that was sent to save them all. The early Christians shared common practices but there
wasn't a structured church. Christians believe that all the members were equal and that women could

Peace and Submission Islam is an Abrahamic Monotheistic Religion and it is one of the second most
practiced religions in the world. The well known prophet, Muhammed, introduced islam in 610 AD
and it has about 1.3 billion followers currently. In my hometown, El Cajon, the population of
muslim refugees has increased significantly over time. Due to common stereotypes placed on
Muslims, they often to hid their religious practices and beliefs away from public eye because they
were fearful of what their neighbors would possibly do. These stereotypes often rooted from the lack
of knowledge and understanding of Islamic faith. Although I understood the basics of islam and that
these stereotypes were false, I've still been interested in educating myself more on this religion, but
due to this fear it was often difficult for them to explain. Luckily, I was able to interview my
dedicated Muslim friend, Zainab Issa. I chose to interview instead of the other options because I
truly felt that listening from an insider would allow me to understand how their faith and beliefs
affect their daily life while learning what it means to them in an emotional level. Zainab is a current

from Judaism, and Islam evolved from – mainly Syrian – Christianity. Naturally the three religions
share a lot of common elements, but also many differences.
Like most religions, the Judaic, Christian, and Islamic religions see themselves as a true religion
based on godly revelation, and claim universal validity. Because of the many different appearances
of religious phenomena, many see themselves faced with the decision whether to grant validity to
every denomination or none of them. In the past and even nowadays, a tendency to intolerance can

History – Doctrine – Ethics There are three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, but
as a Catholic believer I'm just going two focus in two of them because I'm interested in knowing the
background of my religion, and also what came out of it. Even though people say that Judaism and
Islam are two totally separate beliefs, I think they have a lot in common including history, doctrine,
and ethics. First of all, Judaism and Islam both consider Abraham as one of their main prophets,
because he placed the faith in a single God, creating monotheism, at a time when people all over the
world believed in many different gods. For Jews, Abraham is the first of the Patriarchs, a direct
ancestor of the "Children of Israel" in the Hebrew Bible and of the Jewish People to the present day,
while Muslims trace the ancestry of the Prophet Muhammad through Abraham's eldest son, Ishmael.
Judaism is the oldest of the three Abrahamic religions or faiths, traces back 3700 years ago, when
Abraham made a sort of pact with God. For the Jewish community, Abraham is an ancestor of the
Jews to the present day. Moses is also considered a prophet for Jews and Muslims, and it is believed
to have lived in the 13th–12th centuries BCE. He is considered the great lawgiver that received the
Torah from God while he was on Mount Sinai. The sacred text in Judaism is the Tanakh. Islam is the
youngest of the three Abrahamic traditions. It was created in the 6th century by

Shamat and Enkidu. In the beginning of the epic, the story is introduced with the creation of Enkidu
and his transformation into a human being; a vital part of Enkidu's transformation being a woman
named Shamat. Shamat acts as the bait or lure that leads Enkidu out of his animalistic lifestyle, and
causes him to become human. In order to do so, Shamat is told to do sexual acts that will arouse

On July 29th, 2015, 8–year–old Madyson "Maddy" Middleton was riding her scooter with her

Abrahamic Religions and Violence On, February 25, 1994, an armed Israelite, Baruch Goldstein,
entered into a mosque in Hebron and open fired into a group of Muslims during their holy month of
Ramadan. Goldstein, baring a Galil assault rifle and training from the Israeli army, killed twenty–
nine muslims and wounded countless others (Wiles). His actions later inspired riots throughout the
streets of Hebron, which resulted in approximately sixty deaths, and about 250 injuries. Goldstein
was a Jew, and claimed his actions were inspired from the Torah (Wiles). This is not the only time
religion has been used to justify the killing of innocent people. In fact millions have died in the
name of religion, either as martyrs or victims of these horrendous crimes; but alas, religion is not the
culprit of this otherwise unjustifiable action. Universal religious violence between Abrahamic
religions runs rampant, as both it has historically been an issue and is still an issue today; yet the
cause of this theological destruction is not based upon holy scripture, rather the violence is

Muslims, Christians, and Jews make up approximately 55% of the world. Many would say that these
three groups of people worship the same god. This is because they all come from the same origin.
Because of this shared origin, the three religions have many similarities. However, despite these

Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are all considered Abrahamic religions. Abraham was the Hebrew

The three Abrahamic religions share not just the same Supreme Being but they also share several
common themes. Many people view these three religions as separate entities but are more related
than most people would expect.
A simple commonality between the Abrahamic religions is that they all have a center of worship and

While there have been many differences among the three Abrahamic religions, there was a rich
cultural interchange between them that took place during the period of Islamic Spain. Not only they

Taking a Look at Islam and Judaims
Introduction Apart from Christianity, Islam and Judaism are two of the most influential religions in
the world, particularly in the Middle East. Although Judaism is not as large as Islam, it has impacted
on the world in a profound manner. While it's quite evident that both Islam and Judaism appear to be
having conflicting differences in terms of their doctrines, they are both know as Abrahamic religions
because they share a common origin in the Middle East through Abraham in the Hebrew Bible.
Nevertheless, Judaism is often considered to be the oldest of all the Abrahamic religions. Most
ethnographers have been more interested in understanding on how the convictions between the two
religions compare, based on their religious believes about God, afterlife, the universe and people.
This can be attributed to the fact that the conflict between Islam and Judaism has been viewed as a
result of irreconcilable clash of religious doctrines. But, I do not believe that this is really the case.
This essay will focus on drawing a comparison between Judaism and Islam so as to establish the
similarities and differences that exist between them. The comparison will then be used to support
my opinion based on the ides that these religions can live together peacefully and that they are not
destined for perpetual conflict.
Similarities
There are several doctrines and historical events that can be linked to the two religions. Both Islam
and Judaism believe in the existence of one creator

The Paradoxes Of Abrahamic Religions
In the beginning, God said let there be Abrahamic religions. And it was so. Ancient Israelites carried
many traditions molded by the conditions in which they found themselves. Monotheism was a very
different ideology at this time in world history and lead to cultural clashes between the Israelites and
other regional powers. Their soteriology and religious practices eventually became the foundations
on which modern Christianity stands. However, time causes great change in many things and
Christianity is no exception. With these theological and fundamental changes arose a number of
paradoxes. It is easy to just accept the discourse of a religion, but when one or a group of people
start to truly analyze the principles of a faith, many times conflicts arise in truly knowing what
cannot be know. What is life like after ones death. Metaphysical idea with really not evidence to
support them. It is only with the insights and work of theologians and writers like Dionysus, Origen,
Augustine and Dante that these paradoxes were further analyzed and resolved. In an ancient world
embedded in polytheism, the views of the ancient Israelites was arguably a radical one for the time.
This radicalism in a modern view seems practical and completely normal, yet during the time of the
ancient Jewish people this factor brought with it a great deal of hardship. The cosmos of the semitic
world world was that of heaven above, the earth in the middle, and the netherworld below

religious texts and nature philosophies that were written in India centuries ago.

Vedas: Vedas are groups of writings. They form the oldest Hinduism's sacred scripts.
Vishnu: Vishnu is one of the Gods that Hindus believed in. He is one of the three main gods along
with Shiva and Brahma.

Worship: Worship is the expression of regard towards God or a supernatural entity. Many religions
around the world worship many God or many other gods of their religion.
Wrath (God's): Wrath is God's judgement towards sinners. It is his anger towards them, his hatred.

Xenophobia: Xenophobia is the fear of persons. It is also the hatred of persons of a different

nationality.

Compare And Contrast Judaism And Abrahamic Religions
Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are observed throughout the world in great numbers and have many
similarities and differences. All three religions believe in the existence of a single god, but they
differ on the incarnations of the divine being. The Abrahamic religions agree on the existence of
Jesus; however, they differ on his importance. The religions also seem to differ on the idea of the
afterlife. Although the religions share many central ideas, the differences between them are what
define them.
Although all three religions believe in the existence of a single god, the form that God takes differs
throughout the Abrahamic religions. In Christianity, God is perceived as the Holy Trinity. The text
