1. Question: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the
product?
Task: Use the stills of you with shooting equipment that you took whilst shooting, screen
grabs of software and of you using the software. For each of the stills, note down what
you learnt about the equipment/ software, what it allowed you to do and what you might
consider its drawbacks.
I have learnt about the importance of
a tripod when filming a scene, it helps
to keep the image steady.
Shaky images were not much of a
problem in the house scene but we
did experience problems with camera
shake when filming the graveyard.
I also learnt about the importance of
learning about your camera before
using it as filming in the wrong format
may cause problems when editing.
I have learnt how to use FL Studio for
the purposes of creating a
soundtrack. I learnt how to create
tracks using the piano roll and how to
export them as an Mp3 for use in
Sony Vegas and Final Cut.
When creating a rough cut of the
scene I learnt how to use Sony Vegas
to cut. I also learnt about the use of
markers and the general UI of the
software.
When making the final cut, I learnt
how to import clips into a library for
easy access to the clips.
I learnt about editing pace and scene
speed and had a chance to improve
this.
