IN 1895 IN MASSACHUSSETS (USA) MORGAN
TOOK A TENNIS COURT, ROSE THE
NETWORK TO 1.98 METERS AND USED AS
THE BALL AIR CHAMBER OF A BASKETBALL .
3. PLAYING FIELD
The playing court is a rectangle measuring
18 by 9 meters. It is surrounded by a free
zone that should have a minimum of 3
meters wide on each side. It is divided by a
net in the middle part and the lines defining
the track are considered part of the field.
4. TEAM
Each team has six players on the
court, three on defense and three on
offense.
5. TEAM
Each player has a number according to their position on the
field at the beggining of the set. Everytime a service is made,
players should be placed in numerical order. Once the service
has been made, they can move around and occupy any
position.
6. The rotations
TEAMTEAM
When the receiving team wins the right to serve, its
players rotate one position in the direction of
clockwise. In this way the positions are passing by
all players.
7. THE GAME
SCORE
Matches are played best of three sets.
A set is won by the first team that scores 25
points with a minimum lead of two points.

The ball must be hit with a hand or arm
after being thrown into the air
