• Architecture consists S/W (WinCC- Windows Control Center), Ethernet switch(es), PLC
stations and the connecting media.
• All field devices like sensors, actuators, push buttons, HMI (Human machine interface)
are connected to PLC
• Data from I/O devices is fetched by PLC & through Communication interface it is
transferred to windows control center
• WINCC is control center for all the configuration changes.
All the data received from field devices is stored in database residing in control center.
