theorist assignment Cortney Stovall chapter one: theorist assignment FHS 2600 period 2-3         		 Because everyone has there own way of watching kids and recording there own thoughts/opinion. Pretty much everyone has there own opinion so they write there own theory about what they interpret is going on or how kids act or grow. Or they don’t agree so they go and observe kids and create there own theory. Everyone interprets there observations of children differently and if they choose to it becomes a theory of child development.      		 Everyone has there own interpretation of things. Everyone is different and so what one persons sees another may not. No two people are the same and that’s good it makes things change just like changing/new theories.      		  Albert Bandura is one that helped me to understand the social learning theory. I think it is very important for children to develop socially it helps there communication and how they act around people. Jean Piaget is another one who helped me to understand and learn about constructive learning. I think it helps kids/children learn at a good constant rate that they can handle.   	 	   Lev Vygotsky was kind of hard to agree with. He believes that it is more social then constructive. And I think it is equally both not more one then the other. Also Jean Jacques Rousseau she believes that children should be able to unfold. And I think that they need a little structure and help learning they can unfold in there creativity and other ways but not totally just unfold themselves.
My philosophy Cortney Stovall FHS 2600 period 2-3 	   physical punishment- I don’t agree at all with physical punishment. I don’t think that it is ok to hit a child or anything I think it teaches them to do exactly what you don’t want them to do. Like hitting if you hit them they hit others.   	    yelling-I think yelling just frustrates everyone more and makes everyone more mad about the current situation.   	    outdoor play-I think it is great for children to be out side and to get fresh air and have space to run around and get all there energy out. But I think that they should be supervised I think it is very important for them to be supervised.   	    art activities-art is a way to express yourself and your feelings. I think art is great no matter the mess it is great and the children love it.   	    let the kids do it-I think it is great to let kids do things for themselves. It helps them learn by doing things on there own and figuring things out it makes them use there mind and think thing through themselves.
