Chelsea Gibson created science lesson plans for 4-5 year olds as part of an early childhood occupational event. Her planning process involved setting goals, identifying concerns, and developing age-appropriate activities incorporating multiple senses. She gathered resources and lesson plans to develop activities on plant growth. Her documentation shows implementing lessons on cutting and gluing, saying the date, and reading during snack time. Her "Seed necklace" lesson teaches about plants needing water and soil by having children observe seeds and cotton balls absorb water.

25. As a class we are learning the date, as we say the date we count to the end of the month. This will get the children in a habit to saying and knowing the date.
