2024: The FAR, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Part 30
Western Pangasinan
1. Our warmest congratulations to the officers, staff, and members of Western
Pangasinan Multi-Purpose Cooperative in the occasion of your 9th
General
Assembly with the theme “Bracing the Challenges of the Cooperative in 2019
and the Year Beyond”.
Given the scarcity of government funding, participation of the private sector
in rural electrification is now considered essential. One of the major
challenges for the cooperative as a private entity serving an electric
cooperative, is to be financially, operationally and technically competent in
supporting rural electrification activities. To partner with the Electric
Cooperative particularly in helping thinly populated and remote areas that
are already difficult and more expensive to energize.
Other challenges are to fully utilize its Community Development Fund for
its participation and involvement in community-based activities of its
member-consumers. This can be done through various social responsibility
programs that can be initiated by the cooperative; Develop programs and
carry out plans based on ideals that reflect the thinking of its members, with
realistic goals adjusted to the purposes of the cooperative; and Moreover, to
conduct a healthy degree of public awareness and understanding the
universal cooperative principles upon which all business operation of
cooperatives are anchored, namely: Voluntary and Open Membership,
Democratic Member Control, Member Economic Participation, Autonomy
and Independence, Education, Training and Information, Cooperation
Among Cooperatives and Concern for Community.
Continue promoting and building a better lives for all. Congratulations and
Mabuhay!
