1. In what ways does your

conventions of real media

2. I Developed my house style and
use of colours by analysing real
magazine front covers and
stating what I liked and disliked
about each, this helped me to
design a front cover that had the
style that I liked the most. Q
and NME magazines were two
of my favourite magazine styles
so I took the typical red look.
Although I Preferred The
special graphic effect front cover
like Q magazines Red Hot chili
peppers. I chose the neat and
controlled look for my front
cover.

3. I used Multiple picture
reference with my
contents page.
And a simple multiple picture double page spread…..

5. I used up all my dead space with In my contents I have used
a bar code, date and price I also
up all the space with
included a header and a footer to
kill the dead space, I've left white photos however the main
space behind my subject for photo has a lot of white
impact and appeal. space behind it for
impact, the rest of the
space is used up with text
and tour dates, there is
also a red box that I added
below the article to take up
space.
On my contents page I have left white
space at the top for impact and appeal.
I have filled all the other space with
pictures and text with a contents list in
the bottom corner.

6. I Used the conventional look of mainstream indie/alt magazine
style, such as the likes of NME or Q magazine, my double page
spread story linked into the likes of NME’s drink/drug culture of
music. I was inspired heavily by the two magazine covers below.
