5. 5.

Your responsibilities are:

To show respect to everyone in the class at all times. This includes, but is not limited to:

1. To yourself--to listen and learn mathematics. This entails coming to class prepared and ready to be actively involved in your own learning.

2. To your neighbor. To not interfere with his/her ability to participate in the business of the class.

3. To not disturb the class or me by talking to your neighbor or by getting out of your seat while I am talking.

4. To stay in you seat until the passing bell rings and I dismiss you by rows.

Deviations from the above responsibilities will result in discipline procedures in accordance with school policy.

 6. 6.

1. CLASS REQUIREMENTS

A. You will need a Binder (at least 1.5 inch), lined college rule notepaper, graph paper, pencil and a correcting pen (preferably red).

Everything on the flipcharts and written on the board needs to be copied into your binder. There will be unannounced graded binder checks throughout the semester. You are required to have a binder with all your math work in it and to bring it every day. This must be a binder, not a spiral-bound notebook. No papers torn from a spiral notebook will be accepted.

All assignments must be done in pencil. no pencil = no credit . This applies to all written work.

Show all your work--a list of answers is not acceptable.

All graphs are to be done on graph paper or graphing handout.

If your answers are wrong, you will write the correct answer, using the correcting pen, next to the problem for future reference. All questions will be answered before the assignment is collected.

2. If you are late to class and miss all or part of the corrections, you are responsible for correcting your own paper and turning it in before the end of the period. See me for answers.

 8. 8.

Grading Policy

You will be graded on classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests,

Tests 40%

Quizzes 20%

Homework 15 %

Exams 20%

Grading Scale:

A 90 – 100% B 80 – 89% C 70 – 79% D 60 – 69% F Below 60%
