2. About Us
Donate to Lebanon is an initiative by
Steps Of Hope, an Australian NGO
working to help those affected by the
Beirut Blast on August the 4th
(Pictures of the Australian embassador
Rebekah Grindlay with our team in Beirut)
3. How do we operate?
Our initiative is cashless, all donations are
collected through our online gateway
(Stripe) and deposited in Steps of Hope
account in Australia, then wired directly to
suppliers and third-party workers in
Lebanon to buy windows, doors and other
construction material to fix the affected
houses as well as food hampers which is
distributed by our volunteers on the ground
to those who need it
4. We’ve hired a team of
specialists and engineers to
visit the affected area along
with our volunteers in order to
assess the damages in all
residential units and start
rebuilding
5. We are committed to our transparency policy
and our goal is to maximize the impact of
every donation made through our
organization, thus, we are assessing the
affected houses and starting with the most
urgent cases.
Our priority is to replace windows and doors in
order to make those homes habitable in
winter, once that is done, we will move on to
fixing and replacing kitchens, toilets and other
necessities.
6. We also selected and partnered
up with many local NGOs in
order to expand our reach and
help as much as possible, the
more boots on the ground, the
better.
7. Also, we’ve partnered up with
Ground Zero, a local initiative
which provided us with more
than 400 volunteers available
on the ground, delivering hot
meals twice a day and
assisting affected senior
citizens
8. Finally, we are proud to say that our initiative, through our volunteers and
partners, and because of your generous donations is offering the following
throughout the entire affected area in Beirut:
• Food hampers
• Hot meals delivered twice a day, 7 days a week
• Medical assistance and free medications
• Rebuilding and fixing damaged houses
Thank you for your donations and for standing by the Lebanese people in
such trying times
