Xtane is used for the treatment of estrogen
receptor positive invasive early breast
cancer, following 2 to 3 years of initial
adjuvant therapy with the medicine
Tamoxifen Citrate.
Xtane is also used to treat hormone
dependent advanced breast cancer in
postmenopausal women when treatment
with a different hormonal medicine has not
produced the desired medical effect.

Exemestane is a steroidal aromatase inactivator used
to lower circulating estrogen. Generic Exemestane
tablets (Xtane) are also used off-label in bodybuilding
due to the fact that Exemestane acts an estrogen-
inhibitor and is extremely good at eliminating
Aromatase enzymes (80-90% after administration).
This medicine is also a very powerful and effective
treatment for gynecomastia.
As long as the user does not overdose, Xtane
(Generic Exemestane Tablets) is a very mild AI, and
estrogen levels do not become too low, which is a good
thing because males still need some estrogen.

have to be stored at controlled room
temperature i.e. from 20°C to 25°C (68°F
to 77°F) with excursions permitted

During trials Exemestane (Xtane tablets) has been
administered as a single dose to healthy female
volunteers with doses as high as 600 mg daily for
12 weeks. These dosages were well tolerated.
There is no specific antidote to overdosage and
treatment has to be symptomatic. General
supportive care, including frequent monitoring of
vital signs and close observation of the patient, is
highly recommended.

15. Exemestane During Pregnancy

Exemestane (Xtane tablets) has been
classified by the US FDA as Pregnancy
Category X.
Xtane is contraindicated in women who are or
may become pregnant.
Women should not use this medicine during
pregnancy because it may cause harm to the
fetus.
During animal reproductive studies,
Exemestane tablets demonstrated some toxic
effects. Xtane (Generic Exemestane Tablets)
should not be used in women who are lactating.
