Text is used to show:
- Titles (what)
- Menus (where)
- Navigation (how)
- Content (what is there to be seen)
Text provides clues for further explanation; for
Example hyperlink to further information.
On a navigation button/icon, text provides
meaningful interactions.

Type of Multimedia with Text
When a user has control over information
within a learning system thus we have
interactive multimedia.
The user possesses control via hyperlinks
to other information such as to a graphic.
This is known as hypermedia. It will also
be known as hypertext if it links a text to
other documents.

Text must be readable:
- Suitable font
- Suitable font size
- Suitable font colour that contrasts well with the
background colour
Alignment of text in a paragraph must be neat.
Alignment text-graphics must also be systematic
and tidy.
Provide enough text (explanation); too many
(overcrowded), too little (annoying).
