UNIT 4 ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
The Final Reflection
In English 102 this semester, we have taken quite the journey through different kinds of writing
and expression. We have spent time on writing personally through narrative, learning how to
research well, weaving together other voices with our own, figuring out different modes in which
to present a message. And through all of this, we have pondered the many ways that
environments and those within them interact.
For this final assignment, you are to write a 1-2 page reflection on what you have learned in
English 102 and how you see yourself bringing this knowledge into your future, both as a student
and as a citizen.
THIS ASSIGNMENT REQUIRES:
• Specific examples of what you came into English 102 wanting to learn, what you did
learn, and what you still want to learn
• Discussion on your personal goals and achievements in this class
• Forethought on how this class will benefit your future life
AUDIENCE:
• Write this reflection toward an audience of yourself and your instructor
FORMAT:
• Write in standard edited English and adhere to general MLA 8 page formatting.
ASSESSMENT:
• Full credit will be given to reflections that fully do just this—reflect. Put forth a fruitful
effort to end this class on a high note
FINAL REFLECTIONS ARE DUE
BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 9TH 11:59 PM
