2. SILENT HILL
Silent hill is one of my favourite horrors as the film makes
the narrative so realistic. I’m very into horror films so I
might include some of the costumes or characters to
include into my planning as they have a wide range of
strange unrecognised characters.
This film has its own technique to the filming such as the
theme. The theme within the film is grey, dark, dim and
negative which gives you an insight that its not a very
happy place to be.
I might include some of their techniques into my planning
as this will develop y ideas to investigate further into my
planning.

3. TAKEN
Taken is a very action/thriller film that includes a lot of
mystery's for the audience to work out for themselves as
well as in the film. Some of the scenes in Taken have
conflict.
In my planning, I might include a similar narrative
that represents the film taken as it has a mysterious
point of view that brings across the audience.
As this is an action film, there would be a lot of
conflict involved but I will consider this when it comes
to planning a storyboard.

4. SAW
Saw is a very horrific film to watch as it contains in high
contents in blood and gore which some viewers may
find offensive. When I watch Saw, I notice that they use
a variety of techniques to make it seem surreal.
I noticed that the mise en scene is shown when they
have dark settings a lot with locations and costumes.
You would always see the characters in blood with
cuts.
I could consider doing something like this in my opening
sequence e.g. having the first shot set in a dark setting
which is similar and representing Saw.

5. THE CONJURING
The Conjuring is also a horrific paranormal film
that is to represent real life events that was
based on this story. From this, having it as ‘based
on true events’ would scare people so this would
be good to include in my opening sequence as
this would have the viewers on the edge of their
seats.
This is a paranormal film so I would not be able to
do that in my opening sequence as this would
be very hard to do with all the stunts that I would
have to include but I will use some of their
narrative that makes people believe how real
this story is.
