Bloch starts his article by pinpointing the case of “abstraction” when it comes to art. It illustrates how this is simply some form of an illusion that can never be subjected to a thorough psychological analysis. The author stresses on his point of view regarding the artistic work, and even goes a step further to refer to them as being an “ideal graphology.” In that, it helps with the characterization of the author, in a way considered as most truthful and complete. Bloch continues by arguing that these occurrences even take place even if the artist is conscious of them or not. Art, music to be particular, helps in revealing the inmost nature, the virtues and several faults being upheld, temperament, and the degree of intellectuality and emotional faculties for the given artist. In conclusion, the writer argues that the richer the nature of the artist is, the more comprehensive his creation will become, hence showing the adequacy of his technique on craftsmanship.
Concerning Upheavals of the human's thoughts, Nussbaum provides a theory regarding one's emotions. She presents an argument that to best conceive emotions, one must first imagine them as ideas and then goes forth to state that emotion-thoughts have the ability to make some valuable additions to one's normal life (Cates, 2003). She goes forth to develop some large accounts of one’s compassion and the love as being the thoughts that provide the greatest moral support for an individual. The author majorly focuses on that which is meant for one to say that emotions contribute to the forms of thoughts by a person. It starts by raising some of the most critical questions regarding the conception of one’s structure regarding emotions, and also on the conception regarding compassion of an individual, individually (Cates, 2003). The author concludes by showing the importance of conducting an analysis of the structure, and the moral value, of one's emotions and how it requires one to start observing some religious practices, and maybe start listening to certain kinds of music.
The article by Kokonis, (2017), highlights some of the major crisis that Hollywood had to face in the recent memory. has had on the social struggles and upheavals of the current
time. It shows adequate resources that are crucial to the analysis
of the pop culture in the United States, with the inclusion of the
impact that such culture has beyond the borders of the country.
It makes a reference to some sites on various forms of the pop
culture, with the inclusion of music, television, advertisement,

Bloch starts his article by pinpointing the case of “abstraction”
when it comes to art. It illustrates how this is simply some form
of an illusion that can never be subjected to a thorough
psychological analysis. The author stresses on his point of view
regarding the artistic work, and even goes a step further to refer

that emotions contribute to the forms of thoughts by a person. It

the conception of one’s structure regarding emotions, and also
on the conception regarding compassion of an individual,

The article by Kokonis, (2017), highlights some of the major
crisis that Hollywood had to face in the recent memory.
Although some consequences resulting from the significant
problems encountered by Hollywood were mitigated, there are
some which are still felt to this day. One such case is that of the
post-war period that had much effect on the entire landscape of
Hollywood and subsequently leading to a shift in the American
cinema. Hence, Hollywood Renaissance is a radical
transforming period that Hollywood underwent. With films like
the case of Bonnie and Clyde marking the genesis of a
transformation phase back to the real American cinema. Further,
the sensitivities of the movie artists helped in bringing them
closer to achievements of their European counterparts. Hence,
the authors conclude that the period of between the 60s and the
early years of 70s provided an indication of the rebirth of the
Film Industry in American and brought the new dawn of what
we majorly refer to as Hollywood, in the current world.
This article makes an argument that when an individual listens
to extreme music, then he/she becomes prone to experiencing
anger, and starts expressing anger in the form of hostility and
felony. In helping with putting their point across, the
researchers used 39 listeners of the extreme music of the age
between 18-34 years and then subjected them to anger
induction. Then measurements of the emotions with the
inclusion of the heart rate and subsequent subjective rating as
recorded on the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS).
3. Ideally, the ratings of the aggression, prickliness, and stress
tended to be on the rise, as measured by the PANAS, in the
course of the anger induction but were very minimal after the
music (Sharman, & Dingle, (2017). Therefore, music tends to be
tore-tore with the physiological arousal of the individuals and
hence lead to an increment in the individual's positive emotions.
The researchers then made a conclusion that having to listen to
extreme music provided a healthy manner in which anger could
be processed for a broad range of listeners.
The article Smelser, & Haferkamp, (1992) starts by highlighting
the social changes and the modernity and then proceeds to
highlight the theories of social change. The choice of the two
terminologies of “social change” and “modernity” was majorly
due to the frequency of usage of these terms in the
contemporary sociology and hence may be used to show a broad
range of processes involving a change process. The article
proceeds by calling upon individuals on the necessity of
embracing a particular strategy to assist with the study of social
change, from where some other explicitly recognized theories
could be realized. The article proceeds by identifying how
change is a social reality that must be addressed as soon as
possible. Concurrently, it urges individuals to note that the
ways in which social change has been identified tend to vary
significantly in along the historical landscape. Finally, the
article talks about the important role that music has played in
the course of cementing the social change and modernity across
the globe.
The article on Social Movements, Music, and Race. (2017)
starts by highlighting the social movements, and how music
tried to connect music and race. The movements decided to split
into a pair, and it was only music that helped in bridging the
boundaries. Through the aid of the black music and the white
music. Besides the collaboration with universities also assisted
in creating a real collaboration with the music to help in
pursuing some elements of social change. The author always
used folk music to help in instilling the spirit of ownership from
4. the part of the leftist. The author also highlights how the left
activists of the 30s and 40s ad even the civil right activists of
the 60s make a claim of how folk music only belonged to them.
Finally, we get to understand that the social movements in the
United States majorly used music to help in unifying the various
races and ideologists across the country.
