I asked my model to reach for the can on the
picture and look as if he is stressed and is
desperate to get the can. I used a small bit of
light on the photo to create the atmosphere and
to link with his expression. I framed the shot so
he is in the rule of thirds but also slightly
Shooting details centred with his arms to fill up some of the
shot. I used ropes as a prop as well to link with

such as:
The lighting and background aren't what was
needed to fit the brochure.
3. Commentary
In this variety of photos I had the model
reaching out struggling to grab a prop can
that would have been edited out with the
real product, but the main reason I took
some many was to cut them all out and
collage them together on one image for the
Shooting details: brochure. The other props that were used
as well was the rope around the models

coming from the top of the room So once again this image is trying to give

There aren't many faults wrong with this
image in my opinion but I would make
might brighter slightly.
4. Commentary
In this shot I wanted to get the model
to look extremely tired and took look
as if he's desperate for the product, I
did this so it gives the impression to the
audience that the product stands out
from the others and is something

from the can in this photo.

Shutter speed: 1/500 The faults I think with this shot is that I
think I would have repositioned the
model a bit more cause I think it would
have looked more attractive for the
brochure.
5. Commentary
In this photo I placed a prop on the floor
and have chosen to use a close up on the
models face for this shot, when editing
the image I will swap the prop can with
the actual product for the brochure. I
wanted a close up of the models face
Shooting details: because I wanted to have a variety of
pictures on the brochure.
Location: 285 Warrington road Leigh
Time/date: 5pm 5.12.2012 I chose this picture mainly because it

coming from the top of the room so I just wanted to make sure i had good

Aperture: F5.8 wasn’t repeating the same ones.
Shutter speed: 1/500
The one fault I would say with these
photos are is the position of the model
and the lighting, so I would increase the
light on the photo and position the model
differently.

In this photo I wanted the model
stood in the centre of the photo
holding a prop can that I would
have edited out and filled it in with
the real product, the other props are
the ropes that link with the theme

mainly wanted him to have good

other pictures and I dint want all
the photos to look the same.
Only fault I would say is the pose
with the can .
7. Commentary
This is one of the photos I didn’t
use because I thought we could get
a better pose or position to take the
photo. So we ended up doing a few
of these shots to try different poses
and angles to take the photo from

This is a photo I didn’t use because I
had the camera on a repeating shoot
and we were taking whilst he was
performing the action on the
photo, and there we a few later shots
that looked better for the brochure.

using his other hand but with the
same camera angle, but we didn’t
think it was a very good shot to use
in the brochure

Here is another photo that was not
used for the brochure because the
one we chose I thought was only
slightly better because of the focus
on the product prop more than the
model. But there is nothing much

This is one photo that was not used
mainly because of the position of the

for the product prop. The actual
