3. 1. Facebook- This was used to contact Will Sparks the Artist initially, and also to find his contact information such
as email and phone number. It was also used to create a facebook event to contact group member involved
in the shooting. We also used it to share a surveymonkey which got us initial feedback on our idea.
2. Pinterest/Tumblr- both these websites were used to get initial ideas and concepts on lighting coulour schemes
and what filters we could use.
3. Prezi- This is a visually interactive software, free of charge which enables you to upload videos of YouTube,
pictures and diagrams to illustrate your ideas in a more obscure and interactive manner.
4. Scribd- This again is a software which allows you to upload a word document in the same format onto this
program and than upload it onto blogger. Very useful!
5. Slideshare- This is again like the last two, a free software similar to Scribed that allows you to upload
PowerPoint presentations.
6. Powerpoint- PowerPoint presentation was a useful program on my laptop to present my ideas in a more
colloquial manner, whereas a word document is more straightforward.
7. GoAnimate- This was a free online program which allowed you to draw cartoons and make them static.
8. SurveryMonkey was used to conduct a survey which we created when we first started planning our task to
make a music video. We asked general question ‘is the genre of electronic/techno popular?’ than we shared it
on facebook to get reposes.
9. Gmail. I used this to contact other people in my media group and also to email Will Sparks, the artist who
created the song.
10. Blogger was the most used application out of all these, and probably the most applicable in terms of
presenting our progression of our music video. Blogger also is very simple to use which meant uploading picture,
videos and copying in HTML codes.
11. Youtube was a important application to look at existing music videos which gave us ideas and inspiration,
but also to upload our drafts and final copies so we could send the link to friends for feedback. Youtube is
fantastic as its free of charge and is very useful in terms of research and also production.
12. Google was the foundation to our project, all applications used such as Gmail, Youtbe and Facebook are all
available platforms on Google but without Google none of this would have been possible. We used Google
images to look at ideas and concepts but also to copy picture into powerpoints when trying to illustrate our
ideas.

6. The background of the magazine advert has very bold colours therefore
we wanted the text to stand out as much as possible, using distance,
angel and pixel size we were able to create a shadow that would add
emphasise onto the title. The black shadow makes the yellow font stand
out which links with our other ancillary tasks.
6
8. We wanted to include star ratings which we saw on professional digi
pack covers which ultimately makes ours look more professional. I
duplicated the stars by having each one on a different layer, I chose the
layer I wanted then right clicked duplicate. Duplicating the layer is much
easier than recreating another star as the shape and colour could be
different.

11. In order to make our video vibrant the editing
had to be unusual, fast pace and original. We
had an idea of having more than one shot on
the screen to make the video feel busy and
introduce our mise-en-scene quicker to the
audience as more can be shown in the same
time. As you can see on the screen shot
number 1-4 are for individual video bands
which allows you to put different video but
appears in the same frame. I then started the 4
individual shots at the same point and cut
them at the same time using the cut tool.
Once all 4 shots are in the frame you have to
make them all the same size, this is more trial
and error just moving them around until they
are visually satisfying.

13. Light is a major theme in the production of our video ,
having unconventional both pre and post production in
our video will help us stay consistent. I was just playing
around with the light saturation tool and dragging the
rays down around the performer to empathises his
position but also to make the lighting a bit quirky. After
that I right clicked quick blur and dragged it over our
chosen bit of footage which create a cool hazy effect
again something that’s a bit different.
13
15. I used the sphere tool which make a vibrant elcctric
circle you can make them any size but I chosen to
keep them small. These were just a cool effect
which draws the watcher eye. Due to the lack of
information and music videos of the
electro/house/trap genre as producers we are able
to create a music video with almost any quirky
effects.
The mirror shot was a tool which was used to
change up the shots, having mirror shots is very
common on the genre we have chosen but it also
connotes parallels of a party and being intoxicated.

17. We really wanted to add flashing into our video to
emphasises certain parts of the song, such as the
build up to the chorus/drop. We could indentify a
flash effect in Vegas therefore we created one. I
went on to Google and downloaded a white
background. I imported the image onto Vegas
and cut it to what ever length I wanted it to last,
quick flashed would have a shorter width than the
a slower flash. This flash allowed us to pick up the
pace of the song whilst the song was picking up
pace, the visuals matched what the viewer can
hear.
17
19. Markers helped me to cut bits of video to
the beat. Every time I wanted a shot to
change on the beat I would listen to the
song and press the letter ‘m’ on the
keyboard which would mark it. This tool also
helped me create the white flashing as I
would mark when the music gets faster on
each beat than just put the white picture
in-between each video clip.
19
22. We had a lot of pictures off the internet
which we had imported into our digi-pack. To
continue the party theme we included hats
onto our stick figures. When scaling the
image so it stays in its original quality we had
to hold ‘shift’ on the keyboard than scale it to
size. This was probably the tool we used the
most as we imported a lot of icons off
Google.
22
24. Click T on the left side panel to create a new text
box, than type what you need. We used this when
including the tracks of the album on the back.
Once the text box was drawn to size you could
adjust the colour of the text, the size and the font.
The text had to fit in with our other ancillary tasks so
we wanted to stay consistent. As you can see the
font isn't too outlandish or extravagant.
24
26. We created a logo firstly to fit the opening
shot of the video which was of the Moet life
ring, and it would fade in and out of that.
We had to crop the shape using the circle
tool as we didn’t want the black
background around the logo. Once we
had a circle shape we pasted it into other
ancillary tasks evident in the digi-pack and
magazine advert.
26
29. The CD side was the most complicated, we created what
some people described as a ‘kaleidoscope effect’ with the
amount of layers which intertwine and overlap each other.
We created the initial kaleidoscope effect by warping the
shape of each different layer. We used the merge layer tool
which enabled us to do this. Once all the layers were on the
yellow background we had to dissolve the layers so they
were all integrated. Once we had the initial design we than
had to make it the shape of a CD. We used the same circle
cropping tool as the logo one(evident on slide 26). Once we
had the CD shape we merged it to the final grid. The CD I
think is the side with the most resonance for a viewer as it
doesn’t really link with our other ancillary tasks and it is very
different to the other 3 sides, but we have had positive
feedback.
