Early Childhood Development-self Discipline
During their early years, children can develop a large field of
skills. Most of them will enable cope with the dynamic and the
ever changing world. It is however important to equip them with
the right knowledge from their young age. This is because
children tend to stick to them more than any other time in their
life when growing. One most important quality is self-
discipline. It is the backbone of human existence when
critically examined like in the explanation below.
Self-discipline will make them more reliable .When
someone in life has discipline in life; people will tend to have
more trust on them and rely on them for many issues including
guidance on many different issues in life. This is very important
when choosing someone who can be entrusted by the people to
handle their belongings. This also defines a leader as leaders are
people who are either elected or qualified to be leaders. It is a
good virtue for children to develop (Simons, 1978).
When a child develops self-discipline, they will tend
to respect themselves. Respect has got very many dimensions
not limited to other people. Respect is very importance in the
society for people to coexist together in peace and harmony.
Respect also goes further ahead to you kids choosing the best
for their health by choosing good diet and even not involving
themselves in drugs. These benefits of self-respect can all be
attributed to self-discipline (Steffe & Wood ,2013).
Self-discipline will make the children more
accountable. Accountability is when people feel the sense of
responsibility. This is a virtue which when children acquire they
will be responsible people for themselves since everyone in the
society is charged by their actions, they will be compelled by
their inner instincts to do good thus getting better judgment
from the society. Accountability issue also comes in at an event
when they grow up and become mature people and they won’t
have issues raising their own children as they are accountable to
them (Simons, 1978)
Self-disciple will make the children go through their
life challenges with ease. Everyone in life will face their own
challenges. How you handle it will finally determine how you
will be successful. Children who are taught to have self-
discipline will make the best decision when faced with a
challenge. It is not always a guarantee that people will be
successful in life when faced with a challenge but self-
disciplined person will learn from it and face the next challenge
with more confidence. It is therefore comparative for children
to have the self-discipline in them (Simons, 1978)
Informed decisions are made by people who are self-
disciple. In many cases I life we are faced with options .Each
option might present its own challenges .Each challenge has its
way of tackling them. To make an informed decision, a person
needs to make informed decisions on the risks and challenges in
each option they chose. It’s normally not easy for anyone to do
this .It requires someone with a well-informed mind to handle
all these. When young children are taught to have this self-
discipline quality, they are able to make informed decisions
when faced with challenges. This virtue will help them a lot in
life (Schiller, 2010).
People who are self-discipline are normally
hardworking/smart working. These people know that they are
responsible for their destiny and they have to work for anything
they want. They work for anything they want in life. This will
make the people better off and people who can be depended on
in hard times. People who work smart know how to guide and
aid their fellow people in achieving their desires. Children if
taught to have self-discipline, they will grow to be hardworking
people. This is good for them and the society at large.( Fahs &
Lief,1991 .)
In conclusion, self-discipline is a quality that each
child should have. All the explanation above will aid them in
achieving what they want. Since it has been widely known that
children tend to be what they are taught to be. They will make
them desirable people all round. This is one of the desirable
virtues that are important to everyone in life .It is part of those
desirable ones in the society. They will make them desirable
people and all round in everything they might engage in later in
life .It is therefore very important to impart these qualities to
children who are still so that they can grow with it when they
grow older and even probably pass it to the other people they
are going to interact with later on in life.

For the Final Project (due at the end of Unit 9), you will write
an academic essay that informs an audience about ONE specific
skill, quality, or behavior necessary for success in the field of
study you are currently studying.
Your audience is people currently studying for a degree in this
field. You have a choice as to your writing goal. You can
choose to either focus on explaining WHY this skill, quality or
behavior is valuable to their success in the field OR you can
instead choose to explain ways that they can develop this skill,
quality or behavior. The one skill, quality or behavior you focus
on must be specific (Accounting skills is too broad a topic, for
example).
MY FIELD STUDY IS EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
Your Final Project essay should meet the following guidelines:
1. It must be an essay of between 750-1000 words.
2. It must be informative, rather than persuasive in nature.
3. It must have a clear introduction and conclusion.
4. It must have a clear thesis that limits the topic and
establishes the essay’s main point.
5. It must develop the thesis with a combination of original
thought and resource material.
6. It must incorporate at least three reliable sources
appropriately; source material should be used to develop the
writer’s ideas, rather than becoming the focus of the paper. At
least one of those sources must be from the Kaplan University
Library.
7. It must avoid unreliable sources or sources inappropriate for
an academic essay, including but not limited to Wikipedia.
8. Source material, whether it is quoted or paraphrased, must be
given appropriate credit, including in text citations and a
citation in the References page.
9. It must follow APA format requirements, including an
appropriately formatted title page, 12 point Times New Roman
font, double spaced paragraphs and one inch margins.
10. It should be written with an appropriate level of formality,
avoiding first and second person.

  • 2. Early Childhood Development-self Discipline During their early years, children can develop a large field of skills. Most of them will enable cope with the dynamic and the ever changing world. It is however important to equip them with the right knowledge from their young age. This is because children tend to stick to them more than any other time in their life when growing. One most important quality is self- discipline. It is the backbone of human existence when critically examined like in the explanation below. Self-discipline will make them more reliable .When someone in life has discipline in life; people will tend to have more trust on them and rely on them for many issues including guidance on many different issues in life. This is very important when choosing someone who can be entrusted by the people to handle their belongings. This also defines a leader as leaders are people who are either elected or qualified to be leaders. It is a good virtue for children to develop (Simons, 1978). When a child develops self-discipline, they will tend to respect themselves. Respect has got very many dimensions not limited to other people. Respect is very importance in the society for people to coexist together in peace and harmony. Respect also goes further ahead to you kids choosing the best for their health by choosing good diet and even not involving themselves in drugs. These benefits of self-respect can all be attributed to self-discipline (Steffe & Wood ,2013). Self-discipline will make the children more accountable. Accountability is when people feel the sense of responsibility. This is a virtue which when children acquire they will be responsible people for themselves since everyone in the

Accountability issue also comes in at an event when they grow up and become mature people and they won’t have issues raising their own children as they are accountable to them (Simons, 1978) Self-disciple will make the children go through their life challenges with ease. Everyone in life will face their own challenges. How you handle it will finally determine how you will be successful. Children who are taught to have self- discipline will make the best decision when faced with a challenge. It is not always a guarantee that people will be successful in life when faced with a challenge but self- disciplined person will learn from it and face the next challenge with more confidence. It is therefore comparative for children to have the self-discipline in them (Simons, 1978) Informed decisions are made by people who are self- disciple. In many cases I life we are faced with options .Each option might present its own challenges .Each challenge has its way of tackling them. To make an informed decision, a person needs to make informed decisions on the risks and challenges in each option they chose. It’s normally not easy for anyone to do this .It requires someone with a well-informed mind to handle all these. When young children are taught to have this self- discipline quality, they are able to make informed decisions when faced with challenges. This virtue will help them a lot in life (Schiller, 2010). People who are self-discipline are normally hardworking/smart working. These people know that they are responsible for their destiny and they have to work for anything they want. They work for anything they want in life. This will make the people better off and people who can be depended on in hard times. People who work smart know how to guide and aid their fellow people in achieving their desires. Children if taught to have self-discipline, they will grow to be hardworking people. This is good for them and the society at large.( Fahs &
  • 4. Lief,1991 .) In conclusion, self-discipline is a quality that each child should have. All the explanation above will aid them in achieving what they want. Since it has been widely known that children tend to be what they are taught to be. They will make them desirable people all round. This is one of the desirable virtues that are important to everyone in life .It is part of those desirable ones in the society. They will make them desirable people and all round in everything they might engage in later in life .It is therefore very important to impart these qualities to children who are still so that they can grow with it when they grow older and even probably pass it to the other people they are going to interact with later on in life.
