1. Reentry Programs Essay
"Local faithâbased and community organizations (FBCO) reentry programs can provide exâprisoners with the compassion and services they need to
thrive in the communities they are returning to. Placing exâprisoners in steady employment that matches their abilities and needs is an important effort
that helps ensure the safety of America's streets and the successful integration of exâprisoners into America's communities. Recidivism is a vicious
cycle of crime, prison, more crime, reâimprisonment, and so on. Statistics show that more than twoâthirds of released prisoners will be charged with
new crimes within three years following their release, and over half will be reincarcerated. According to criminal justice experts, an attachment to the

The organizational functions that would be integral to the positive development of a new reentry program start with sitting down with community
leaders to determine what needs are being met, and where shortfalls in the system lie. Once needs are locked in, set up funding, through local, state, or
federal means, determine how many employees will be needed and gather a list of potential candidates. Taking the candidates aside at the initial
interview/selection, determine assets that can be applied to the program, along with educational and experience. Sometimes needs can be met by
individuals that have experience in the reality that is life in prison, these candidates can be brought in and trained to handle responsibilities and build
knowledge with time. Creating an outlet for improvement begins with building trust, contacts, and employers willing to work with the system and create

"Persistence guarantees that results are inevitable." â Paramahansa Yogananda. Persistence is an important trait to have as it allows one to push through
adversity, accomplish tasks that they would not be able to if one did not have the trait of persistence. As defined by Merriam Webster Dictionary
persistence means the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by
other people. The modern word persistence originates from the latin word persistent meaning continuing steadfastly. Persistence is the ability to
repeatedly strive for success after being knocked down and never give up, to keep going when everything else is telling one to quit. Persistence is

education. She never quit fighting for what she believed in. Malala has always dreamed for equal education, she has taken this belief from her
father. She always spoke out courageously for what she believed in. She was shot in the head because she is standing up against what the Taliban

striving to succeed in equal education. If she did not use persistence she would not have accomplished what she has. Most people after being shot

3. Essay on Child Birth
Birth of a child can be such a happy time, especially when the little one is very healthy. We all have seen the movies when a new child is born,
some of us are lucky to see it first hand. Some of us do get goose bumps, me being one of them. It is just so exciting to see that little life come out
of what has been in that big belly for nine months. We sometimes refer to the birth of a child as labor. If only it was as easy as the name sounds.
However, it is not. There are three main stages in birth. The first stage is the longest stage that can last 12 to 14 hours with the first birth, and later
births are shorter. Dilation and effacement of the cervix take place here. That is when the uterine contractions gradually become more frequent and

Getting the most care that they can helps a lot. Even normal babies need the support and to grow a good relationship with their parents to last
forever. Although babies spend most of their time sleeping and eating they still have transitions to different stages. For example, reflexes are the
most common for people to recognize the organized patterns of behavior. Also, a crying baby is what everyone recognizes. However, it is
somewhat good when the baby cries, because it stimulates strong discomfort that the adults can realize. Usually the baby just needs a diaper change
or needs to be feed, but sometimes its more and it is the parent's job to figure out why the baby is crying. The parents have to soothe them; they can
do this by rocking, walking, swaddling, and talking softly. The baby also is developing their five senses, so it is important that the parents do not
interfere with the development. For example, using screaming very loudly can ruin a baby's hearing. Vision is the one that develops the least.
Nerveless, newborns can recognize human faces and want the mother's familiar face instead of a stranger. The most widely used instrument for
helping the behavior of the newborn infant is Brazelton's Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale (NBAS). It has helped researchers understand
newborns better. The baby's arriving is one of the happiest times for a new parent, but can be very stressful. The parents do have different

4. Early Childhood Education Essay examples
"Play is developmentally appropriate for primaryâage children and can provide them with opportunities that enrich the learning experience" (Copple &
Bredekamp 2009). Early childhood education holds two main focuses; a childâbased focus and a familyâbased focus. Early childhood education has
positive outcomes on the child through their learning experiences, and their growth and development. Based on the family, the results of early
education happen through the communication that the family has with the educators and by the encouragement they get from within themselves, and
also from the educators.

Educators can facilitate the children with different materials and environments in the classrooms that are in the early learning centres. The children
need to develop their minds cognitively. "Children actively construct knowledge as they manipulate and explore their world" (Berk 2007). Children are
needing to develop their abilities through their play experiences, and also through their play experiences, they can develop appropriately.Early
childhood education plays a large part in a child's early development. Children develop cognition through two main stages that Jean Piaget theorized.
The stages run from birth and infancy to school age children. Sensorimotor is the first stage and goes from birth to about the age of two. This stage
implies that the children learn about the environment they live in and they learn this through the reflexes and movements they produce. They also
learn that they are separate people from their parents and they can say goodbye to them and know they will come back. The second stage is called the
preoperational stage. During this stage of development, children will learn how to incorporate symbols to represent objects. This is also the beginning
of learning the alphabet and speech. The child is still very much egocentric at this point in time, but with the help of understanding educators, the child
will grow appropriately onto the next stages of development. Finally, the children need to develop emotionally/socially.

5. My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that
tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities,
ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's
taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hipâhop and the clothing,
attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life
off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects
of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a
dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some
are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in
nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong
family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people
just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational
experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational

6. The First And Hardest Part Of Writing An Essay
The first and hardest part of writing an essay is figuring out how to start. A professor may give a topic to be written about, but in some cases that
may not happen. The first step is to pick a topic. The topic will serve as your thesis. You want to pick a topic that you are relatively knowledgeable
about so you are not completely in the dark. By picking a topic that you know even a little about, will take away the anxiety of not knowing where
to start or what to write about. If you chose to challenge yourself and write a paper about something you are novice about, then you want to pick a
topic that is broad enough to find enough information about. For example, if you want to write a paper about cars, do not make cars what your
paper is about, because although it is a broad topic it is also somewhat narrow. Try to broaden your topic buy changing it to, "how cars have changed
our lives." Changing your topic to a more argumentative thesis gives you a pinpoint area to write about and leaves the door open to give you more to
write about. The second step, and what I believe to be the most important step is locating sources to support your thesis. A researchessay without
sources becomes an opinion essay, and that is what you as the writer want to stay away from. Sources make your essay more creditable. If your essay
is about "how technology has benefited students and teachers in the classrooms," then you should find sources that are about how technology is used in

I believe that life is a learning experience and being able to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses can help us become better individuals in
anything we choose to do, whether it is positive abilities and skills that can help achieve our goals or negative personal areas that need improvement.
Knowing yourself and what you can do, can help you recognize and overcome your weaknesses. One of my greatest strengths at work that I have
recognized would have to be my ability to be a wellâorganized individual. I tend to write what I have to do down on paper and prioritize what is more

I am certain that because of my strengths, I am good at what I do however; I do have weaknesses that I have to overcome and improve. My
personal weakness at work is lack of leadership. Currently I am in a position in which I do not possess the title of management. As a result, I
basically feel that I do not have to show leadership or take initiative to take on the responsibilities of a manager when in reality, I am not. One of
my weaknesses at home is time management. This is a weakness that I have had to struggle with since my daughter was born. It is hard for me to
try to juggle being a full time single parent, working a full time job and attending school full time. I always feel that there is never enough time to
accomplish my tasks whether it is household chores, work related or assignments for school. Most importantly I have to make sure that I am
readily available for my child at all times. In a Learning team, presentation skills are very important. I would have to say that Presentation Skills
would be one of my personal weaknesses in the Learning team. It is difficult for me at times to stand up in front of a room full of people and
present a project or conduct some sort of meeting. In order to do so, you have to have confidence that what you?re talking about is accurate and the
motivation to actually get up do it. My biggest fear of a presentation would be tripping and falling on my face or

8. Essay on Goal Setting
Goal Setting In the first article that I found It stated that Goal Setting is a formal process for personal planning, and is a form of motivation. It is
used for a target that a person works for so they can be successful. The process of goal setting is used by many people throughout the world that are
trying to and have already achieved something in their lifetime.
Setting goals helps a person remain focused on being successful, stay away from distractions, and will help with motivation. There are two types of goal
setting:
Longâterm, and Shortâterm goals. Shortâterm goals are smaller goals that are "easier" to achieve, and will keep the person motivated and continue to

Also, after achieving a goal, you must look back and ask yourself if the goal was too easy for you to achieve, if you learned something while trying to
achieve the goal, and if you need to fix any of your "skills" in trying to achieve your goal.
If you do not achieve your goals, then this does not mean that you are a failure as long as you learn something from your mistakes. You must find
where you made your mistakes and then fix them.
Some of the Key Points for goal setting is Deciding what is important for you to achieve in your life, separating what is important from what is
irrelevant, motivating yourself to achievement, and building your selfâconfidence based on measured achievement of goals.
In the second article that I found, it stated that Goal Setting is a very powerful technique that can yield strong returns in all areas of your life. Setting
goals allows you to decide what you want to do with your life.
This article reiterates the previous article and states "Goal Setting Helps
Selfâconfidence". "By setting goals, and measuring their achievement, you are able to see what you have done and what you are capable of. The
process of achieving goals and seeing their achievement gives you the confidence and selfâbelief that you need that you will be able to achieve higher
and more difficult goals".
Some of the key points that this article stresses for setting goals is that you can achieve more, improve

Statistics reveal that approximately three million youths, between 12â18, have either thought about or attempted suicide in the past year. More than 1

Only in the past two decades, have depression and suicide been taken seriously. Depression is an illness that involves the body, mood and thoughts.

Special situations such as a parents divorce can trigger intense sadness and feelings of wanting to die.
People who usually experience depression, can seem fine. But there are many key signs to show that they are depressed. Such as, change in school

12. How My Writing Has Improved
After this semester of English 102, at Bristol Community College I feel that I have gained the skill to articulate what I want to convey to the

Nevertheless, I hope that this strategy will continue to help me improve my writing even further on in the future. My strong points as a reader

for me. I find myself to be very soft spoken and speaking verbally is usually difficult for me because I can't always seem to find the right words to

15. Descriptive Essay : How To Start A Day
Once our day gets going it is the easiest thing in the world to get swept away by the routine, the urgent (which, by the way, is quite different from the
important), the latest minor crisis (which probably seems major at the time) or, most common of all, the endless stream of useless thought that simply
distracts us. Even if you have made the effort and started your day properly, it is simply all too easy to become submerged in the cares and worries of
the moment and, as a result, revert to our default state of unfocused mindlessness.
So, first things first, what does starting your day properly mean? Well, none of us would even think about leaving the house physically unprepared for
the day ahead. We wash and dress ourselves â shaving or applying the odd dab of makeâup as appropriate! On the other hand, most of us unwittingly
leave the house each morning completely and totally mentally unprepared for the day ahead. Starting the day properly means ensuring that, before you
leave the house, you have taken the appropriate step or steps to clear your mind and focus y energy.
Practical Tip #1
I recommend five to ten minutes 'mental preparation' for the day ahead. Find somewhere quiet, where you won't be disturbed, to sit and focus on what
your five senses are telling you â one sense at a time. This ensures that you're focused on what is actually going on rather than simply letting your
subconscious mind's programs automatically run your life. Remember, if you don't do this,
