- 3. I. Communication • Who are your PAs? • Who is your sponsor? • Who is in your team? • What are your responsibilities? • Who is your speaker? • Who from my school can make this meeting happen?
- 4. II. NHI’s Requirements • High School Freshmen (9th grader only) • 3.2 GPA (4.0 scale) • Copy of most recent report card • Upper level classes (recommended) • $570 for debate fees (food, dorm, etc.) • Apply online at nhi-net.org
- 5. III. Be Prepared • Have a counselor meeting prior to this • Make a lesson plan! • NHI Brochures • Sign-In sheets (contact Andrea for them) • Printed applications
- 6. This is an example of a lesson plan from a previous recruitment meeting. What's important is that you have a plan for the meeting and you stick to it.
- 7. IV. Day of Meeting • Have a presentation ready! • Show not tell • Interact • Be proactive and do something • Wear your NHI shirt • Be on your best behavior!
