When it took place • It took place during 1145-1149
Why it took place. • It started in the response to the fall of the County of Edessa the previous year to the forces of Zengi which was founded in the first crusade.
The people who fought in this • Crusaders: • Kingdom of Jerusalem • Knights Templar • Knights hospitaller • Kingdom of France • Flanders • Montferrat • Savoy • Bar • Auvergne • Leon • Lorraine • Burgundy • Brittany • Aquitaine • Provence • And many many more.
Where did it take place • Launched from Europe Then went through Germany and France and then continued on to Jerusalem and went on to the siege of Damascus.
What were the affects. • In the end the Christian forces felt betrayed by each other and mutual distrust continued for a generation because of the defeat in their attempt to siege Ascalon.
Discoveries • Some discoveries were new arts and different types of methods used by different countries in different things.
