3. About Me! My name is Bethany Taylor, I am a Senior at the University of Kentucky. I am a Merchandising, Apparel, & Textile major and expecting to graduate December 2011. I am a member of the National Honors Society and have been on the Dean's Lists throughout my college life. I have always been interested in fashion and apparel industry. My passion for fashion is what lead me to pursuit a degree in Merchandising. I am currently interested in finding a internship position where I will be able to develop professionally and retain more knowledge of the retail field. I am searching for a position that I could grow and expand into new opportunities.

Community Service Projects/Community Service: Volunteering at The Nest, Lexington, KY: Managed inventory for toy drive, documented received donations, worked hands-on with members of the community, and updated organization’s records. Identified the financial difficulties the organization faced and offered solutions through presentation Researched and surveyed Lexington community, found statistics that would help the organization improve.

6. Internship Maurices Completed a 10 week summer internship with the company. Work beside the manager on multiple task including store management, store visual, and other types of store operations.

7. Skills Computer Skills: Trained with Windows and Mac programs. Experienced with Microsoft Programs (Power Point, Word, Excel, and Access). Skilled with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Smart Draw, and 3D Studio Mix. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication. Work well with others (communicate with classmates and co-workers). Presented projects. Teamwork Leadership: Managed and supervised tasks, organized papers, prepared speeches, and filled in for missing group members. Motivated and coach team members to work together and focus.

8. Career Goals Always looking for ways to grow myself and in my career. I want to finish my bachelor degree in Merchandising and then attend graduate school. I would like to become a retail store manager soon after. In the long term, I would love to become a District or Regional Manager of a retail corporation.

9. Interest I have always been active, creative, and all around people person. I love to design and visual planning. I have a passion for helping other and using my creativity to provide the best service to customers. I love anything to do with fashion, trends, and capture them in my work.
