Summary of topic The topic I have chosen is the underground
fashion/music scene, I will be addressing some
of the famous fashion designers and how that
aesthetic is transferred into the musical side of
the underground, ill also analyse the scene and
give real life examples of the specific fashion
trends and music trends that have been
popular. Ill also
Why this topic/subject I have chosen this topic because it is something
that I am very passionate about, I have a lot of
interest is the underground scene as a whole
and feel as though my passion for it will reflect
in my work, I also have a lot of experience in this
field which will give me an advantage. There are
multiple people that can help me out with
interviews and different sections of my product
also since they are well educated on my topic. I
just thinks it’s the best choice for me because of
this.
What is the purpose of this project, or what is
the point of it?[you can phrase this as a point to
get across, a central argument, etc]
The purpose of this project is to educate people
on a sub genre of the music/fashion industry
that is often overshadowed by the mainstream
music/fashion industry, they are both as
complex and diverse as each other but the
underground scene just doesn’t get as much
coverage, it almost seems to be censored. So,
because of this, I think it is a great idea to try
and shine a light on the often overlooked
portion of the music/fashion industry.

Intended audience and how are you designing
your project to appeal to that audience –
reference stylistic choices and intentions here
My intended target audience are 17-25 year
olds who are interested and or involved in the
underground fashion/music scene, to appeal to
them I will address and talk about current
popular fashion designers and artists in the
scene, since the audience will already be
familiar with the topics I’m talking about,
gaining a deeper insight on them will surely
entice them.

I will be interviewing my friend Alfie Horwell as
he is heavily involved in and educated on the
topics I will be discussing.
Sources for visual materials [this is photos,
footage, images, etc you intend to use on the
project – remember ALL WORK SHOULD BE
ORIGINAL or from appropriate archive sources
this means photos/footage you don’t own must
be modified to your own style and output i.e.
rotoscoping photos, etc]
I will be implementing different types of images
to showcase the current topic of conversation to
the audience, I don’t want there to be a
disconnect between me talking and the
consumers perception on the topic so I will
include visual examples of whatever im talking
about, for example if I am discussing a certain
item of clothing, ill insert an image to familiarise
the audience.
Outline structure for project [for video this
could be a sectioned breakdown with general
timing such as intro, interview, montage, etc for
Fanzine this could be page breakdowns from
pg1 to pg 12]
I am going to do a video which will contain
multiple different sections, I will include an intro
of sorts, an interview section and a general
information section. I think this is a good format
to choose since I am relaying information from
different points of view.
How does your chosen medium/format link to
your specialism?
The video format I have chosen links to my
specialism as the underground scene doesn’t
really use or produce print based products, the
scene mainly functions on a video based format,
