The Media Center is open daily from
7:15 am to 3:15 pm.
To come to the LMC ...
1. You must always have a signed Pass.
2. You must have your ID to check out.
3. To use a computer, pass from teacher
must indicate computer.
When entering the LMC ...
1. Tap in “SCAN your ID” box.
2. Scan ID using Scanner above this sign.
3. Tap Submit.
4. Tap Submit another response.
LMC Policies
NO loud talking, horseplay, running, etc.
NO food, drinks, candy or gum.
Enter & Exit ONLY from the main
entrance to the LMC.
Students who do not follow directions
WILL BE SENT BACK TO CLASS with a
note and/or email to the teacher and/or
Dr. Kolman.

This is YOUR LIBRARY!
ALWAYS leave the books on the
shelf standing and in correct order.
DO NOT leave books on the floor.

• If you do not know where a book “lives”
on the shelf, please place it on top of the
shelves.
• If the MC is closed, books can be returned
in the drop-box outside the library or by
the staircase.
• When returning books inside the MC:
Place books in the return slot on the
circulation desk.

Fiction books are shelved by Genre
and then are in alphabetical order by the
author's last name.

Non-Fiction books are shelved by the
Dewey Decimal system.
000-099 Generalities
100-199 Philosophy and Psychology
200-299 Religion
300-399 Social Sciences
400-499 Language
500-599 Natural Sciences and Math
600-699 Technology
700-799 Arts
800-899 Literature
900-999 Geography and History
eBooks and Audio Books
eBooks and Digital Audio Books can be
found through Destiny Discover and read
listened to on a computer or mobile device.
You should have a hard copy of the book to
read along while listening.
Students may check out 2 books for a period of
2 weeks. You may renew your books if you
need more time.
• Students who have overdue books or
lost/damage fines may NOT check out
additional books.
• A list of Overdues are sent to reading
teachers.
• DO NOT check out books for others! Don’t
share your books with others!
Accelerated Reader
• Books are marked with AR stickers on the
spine. Book Level & Points and Lexile Levels
are inside front cover.
• You may ONLY take AR quizzes in your
Reading classroom or in one of Resource
classrooms with teacher present.
Checking out books:
1. Scan your ID.
2. Scan bar code on each book.
3. Place receipt inside book
DO NOT REMOVE DUST JACKETS,
BARCODES OR BOOK POCKETS FROM
BOOKS.
Students will be charged $1.00 for each
damaged or missing cover, barcode or
book pocket.
Lost or damaged-beyond-repair
books must be paid for at cost.
