This document provides an overview of the first week of Spanish class for new students. It includes:
1) An agenda that covers introductions, rules and procedures, the weekly schedule, and a ticket out.
2) Information about required supplies, classroom rules and procedures, the weekly schedule, and technology resources for the class.
3) Daily agendas and activities including reviewing expectations and proficiency levels, setting up binders, and mini quizzes. Students are given daily exit tickets to complete.

5. ALL ABOUT YOU GOOGLE FORM
• Must be completed by the end of the week. It is
MANDATORY
• If you do not have a computer at home, you are more than
welcome to use the one in my room.

• You must answer all required questions. I must have an
email address for your parents, if you do not know it ask
them for it.
• Level 2 entry questions (only level 2)

BY MONDAY
1. Composition book
a. This will be used daily for bellwork and
quickwrites and will stay in the classroom
2. Spiral 1 subject note book (this will stay in
your binder and will be for NOTES ONLY and
will serve as your book)
3. Binder (can be shared with other classes so
long as it is organized)
4. Dividers
5. Folder
6. Pens/pencils
7. Paper
8. Pencil sharpener
9. SPANISH/ENGLISH DICTIONARY (can be on
your phone, but must be wordreference)
USEFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED SUPPLIES:

• Glue stick
• Colored/white copy paper or cardstock
• Ruler
• Mini stapler
• Scissors

1. Be on-time, on-task, & prepared to learn EVERYDAY
2. Keep all personal electronics PUT AWAY
3. BE RESPONSIBLE for your own learning
4. RESPECT the teacher, the classroom, & other students
5. Trash goes in the trashcan #NOTYOURMAID
8. PROCEDURES:
Bellwork (para empezar): upon entering the classroom you will get your composition
book, take your seat and immediately start your bellwork. If you have a homework
assignment due that day, turn it in prior to taking your seat.
Restrooms: Because class is only 45 minutes long, the hall pass can only be used for life
and death emergencies. If you have a medical problem and have to go to the restroom
you must have a doctor’s note.
Leaving the classroom: As stated before, the hall pass can only be used for life and death
emergencies. Personal business should be taken care of either before or after class.
Uniforms: Part of establishing a positive learning environment is looking your best. If
you come to class out of uniform you will not be able to enter until you fix it. Uniform
compliance is non-negotiable.
Final Minutes: The bell dismisses class. It knows what time to ring, so it will not be
necessary for you to keep track of time or to remind me of the time. The final minutes of
every class will be your exit slip, to be turned in everyday as you leave.
Food and Drink: Food and drink are not allowed in my classroom, nor is gum.
Turning in work: There will be a file box located near my desk with files for each class
period. Turn in your work as you come into the classroom, in the correct file folder for
your class. I will not ask for it, as you should know when an assignment is due and just
turn it in to the box. YOUR NAME MUST BE ON YOUR PAPER OR YOU WILL RECEIVE A
ZERO.
Rule of 5: Each assignment (done or not) will be turned in with the correct heading of
your name, the date, the class period, and the title of the assignment. You will receive an
automatic 5 points for doing this correctly.
