HOW WOULD YOU IMPORT VIDEO FOOTAGE INTO FINAL CUT EXPRESS?
First you open up Final cut express the you insert the usb into the camera and
the computer, then you go to file > log and transfer then it syncs it to your mac,
you will then need to drag the footage down to the small window below for the
footage to be uploaded.
HOW WOULD YOU PREVIEW A CHOSEN CLIP OF IMPORTED VIDEO?
The footage will be in the top left box, to preview the footage you would double
click on the chosen clip and then it will appear in the viewer box.
HOW WOULD YOU INSERT A CHOSEN CLIP INTO THE TIMELINE?
All you do is drag the clip fro the viewers box and hover over the timeline, wait
for the downwards arrow to appear and then it will drop into the timeline
HOW WOULD YOU SET IN AND OUT POINTS FOR A PARTICULAR CLIP?
In the viewers box whilst your watching the footage you press 'i' for in and 'o'
for out that means you have shortened the clip down to the size you want it

WHAT IS THE BLADE TOOL USED FOR? WHAT IS ITS HOTKEY SHORTCUT?
The blade tool is used to shorten a clip once its in the timeline the hotkey is 'b'
HOW WOULD YOU DELETE A CLIP & CLOSE THE GAP ON THE TIMELINE?
To delete a clip in the timeline click on the chosen clip then press the back
space key. To close the gap in the timeline you select the footage then drag it
to the following clip
WHAT IS THE PEN TOOL USED FOR? WHAT IS ITS HOTKEY SHORTCUT?
The pen tool key lets the footage fade in and out, the hotkey is 'p'
HOW WOULD YOU VISUALLY SHOW YOUR AUDIO IN THE TIMELINE?
To visually show the audio in the timeline you go to the 'Timeline layout pop
up' you then go 'show audio waveforms'

HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE THE SCALE OF YOUR CANVAS WINDOW TO 50%
You go the canvas window witch is the box in the top right corner, then you
click onto the icon that has the percentage number, then scroll down to the
50%
WHERE IS THE KEYFRAME ICON & WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
The keyframe icon is below the canvas, It looks like a small diamond
HOW WOULD YOU ZOOM IN CLOSER ON A PARTICULAR CLIP MANUALLY?
Go to the Keyframe Icon then pull the screen out using the little toggles.
HOW WOULD YOU UNLINK A VIDEO CLIP & ITS AUDIO ON THE TIMELINE?
You go onto the 'linked selection' icon which is below the canas window. You
then select the video clip you want and it wont be attached to the audio clip.
