2. Address and map of location.
• Birmingham Orminston Academy
• 1 Grosvenor Street, Birmingham B4 7QD
• Due to my models being students at Birmingham
Orminston Academy they have different ways of
getting to the academy. However, I will take my photos
within the students timetable times so they will
already be at there at the time that I will be taking
their photos.
3. Why it’s a suitable location for the scene.
• I believe the TV studio is suitable for the scene due to my genre is pop
and with the green screen in the background of my models it makes it
easier to make the surroundings more cheerful and colourful like the
pop genre is known for.
• It is also a professional scenery which will make the magazine photos
look of a higher quality.
4. The availability of location.
• A downfall to using the TV studio is that it is only available for short
periods of time. I will have to hire out the room in able to take my
photographs and will have to get those done within that time due to
the studio being needed for other people.
• The time the TV studio is available to everybody within the academy
is 9am – 4:14pm, therefore, this evidentially portrays its lack of
availability due to multiple people wanting to use the studio within
these times also.
5. Contact details for the location
• Name: Daniel Walker (media teacher)
• Address: 1 Grosvenor Street,
Birmingham B4 7QD
• Telephone number: 0121 359 9300
• Email: daniel.walker@boa-

6. Power sources
• The power sources that will be present on the day is the camera
charging just before I will be using it to take photos to make sure it
has full charge to prevent it running out of battery when I am using it.
• The lighting that I will be using is another power source and I will be
using high key lighting due to it illuminates the faces of my models
and creates a more positive atmosphere than lower key lighting does.
7. Lighting issues at the location
• As I have chosen to use high key lighting, the limitation with this is
that sometimes the light is too bright on the models faces which
washes out their emotions and cannot clearly see their facial
features, which makes the magazine look less professional.
• The advantage about the lighting within the TV studio is that it is fully
controllable so there will be no issues to do with the lighting giving off
tints of orange or blue. Also, due to their being no windows within
the studio, no natural lighting can appear and cause problems to the
photos such as too bright or making the person look like a silloutte.
