• Mobile phones and devices: 
– Any device that is capable of storing, receiving or 
transmitting information is NOT permitted in the 
room 
– The teacher has the right to confiscate any such 
device for up to 1 week 
• Watches: 
– You are NOT permitted to wear watches of any type 
during tests 
– Any watch taken into the room must be removed 
and placed at the top of the table where it can be 
clearly seen by the teacher

– You can only use a scientific calculator on 
designated tests 
• Unit 2: Marketing 
– This is a calculator which does NOT have: 
• Graphic, symbolic or programming 
capability 
• Extended memory for storing text 
and/or symbols

• Conditions of use: 
– Calculator must be silent, hand-held and 
contain its own power source 
– You are entirely responsible for ensuring 
adequate power supply to your calculator 
– Any technical fault or battery failure during 
tests will NOT be taken into consideration by 
the teacher 
– You may NOT borrow a calculator from 
another student 
– The teacher may check your calculator at any 
point during a SAC

• Stationary allowed: 
– The teacher has the right to check your stationary at any time 
– Dictionaries are NOT allowed 
– You can use pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, sharpeners and rulers only 
– Stationary can NOT be shared with other students during a SAC

– You will be allowed to sit a test if you arrive 
up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start of 
writing time 
– You will NOT be given extra writing time and 
you must cease writing at the scheduled 
finish of writing time 
– If you arrive after 10 minutes or fail to turn 
up at all you will not be able to sit the SAC at 
another time until: 
• A medical certificate has been provided 
by a doctor 
• A letter from a parent has been 
provided explaining your absence 
• Approval has been given from the VCE
