1. Composition: Line
Lead the eye of the viewer.

2. What is a line?
• Line: A mark made by a pointed tool, such as a
pen, pencil, brush or stick.
• Line: Something you stand in to get something
you want or need.
• Line: in regards to Photography?
we should consider line something that guides
the viewers eye around the composition or
something that breaks the space within the
frame.

3. Leading lines are lines within an
image that leads the eye to
another point in the image, or
occasionally, out of the image.
Anything with a definite line can
be a leading line. Fences,
bridges, even a shoreline can
lead the eye.

the leading
lines start?
Where do
they bring
your eye to?

5. Interesting ways to
Break space.

6. Repetition is Helpful

7. “Frame” the Subject

8. • Pattern is Helpful as
well.
• Something that repeats
in a predictable manner.

11. Shorelines and clouds can lead you to
amazing places… and compositions.

13. “Rule”of thirds…. How about “guide”
of thirds.

14. Your subject can be in the center, its just more
interesting if it isn’t dead center.
