Mobile payment refers to payment services performed via mobile devices instead of cash, checks, or credit cards. Research shows the global mobile payment market will exceed $600 billion by 2013, double the 2011 amount, with $300 billion for goods and services excluding contactless payments and money transfers. In developing countries, mobile payment solutions have provided financial access to the "unbanked" estimated at 50% of the world's adults. This industry roundtable will report on mobile payment implementations in various countries from the perspectives of both industry and consumers, discussing successes, challenges, and service delivery issues. Representatives from Indonesia will speak in two sessions - on the industry perspective and the consumer perspective.
