1. BAVIDEO: POST PRODUCTION
EDITING ASSIGNMENT-EXERCISE TIE UP
AIM
This exercise serves the following purposes:
- a refresher on shooting skills and techniques
- conceptualization and storytelling
- weaving of the footages and application of the basic video effects and color correction.
TASK
(Group Assignment) Write and shoot a 1 to 3-minute short film sampler.
(Individual Exercise) The footages of your short film sampler will serve as your clips for editing.
PREMISE
On your short film, the following elements should be present:
- one actor
- actor wearing black and white
- tripod-locked camera of a scene of an actor pseudo-conversing with his/her twin (same actor)
(for Twin Effect- Crop)
- a solid-color main hand prop, eg. Red gift, green shoe, etc (for Leave Color/ Colour Pass Effect)
- a window scene with the following shots: (for Window Effect- Opacity)
a) OTS of (actor) looking over a closed glass window
b) Reverse frontal, CU shot of (actor)
c) A wide shot of a landscape/cityscape
- Death. Soul will leave the body (Ghost Luma Effect)
