Butterflies and frogs both undergo a process called metamorphosis as they develop from eggs to adults. Butterflies go through four stages - egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Frogs also change forms, starting as eggs then developing into tadpoles, froglets, and finally adult frogs. Both animals drastically change their appearance and abilities as they mature through metamorphosis.
