cycle.

thing goes through during its life.

4. •For humans , we are first babies,
then we grow to become boys/
girls.
•Later on, we become men/women.
And then we become older.

5. •Animals and plants have a life cycle
too.

6. Some living things grow and
change completely. While
others just grow in size.

7. The changing of a living thing from an infant to an
adult is called
Metamorphosis.

8. Metamorphosiscan be either
completeor incomplete.

9. •If the animal changed completely in shape, size
and color. Then the metamorphosis is complete.

10. •If the animal changed only in size. It only grows
bigger. Then the metamorphosis is incomplete.

12. The butterfly undergoes
complete metamorphosis.

cycle has 4 stages.

15. •The egg can have different shapes.
•The butterfly eggs are laid on the
leaves.

16. The Larva(Caterpillar)

17. •The larva is the stage after the egg.
•The most important thing it does in this
stage is eat to grow up quickly.
•It eats the leaf it was born onto.

18. The pupa

19. •After the larva has done eating and growing , it
turns into a pupa.
•Inside the pupa, the larva is changing quickly, to
turn to a butterfly.
•The pupa is the inactive stage in the butterfly life
cycle.( does not move)

20. The adult butterfly

21. •The pupa then turns into an adult
butterfly.
•It is the stage where the butterfly makes
new eggs and looks for a leaf to lay them
on it.
