Career Summary
Bachu is an TVET Development Practitioner with extensive experience in management of education
programs. He is an Engineer by profession, currently completing his PhD in Organizational Development
with Australian National University. He has spent many years living and working in developing countries.
Bachu has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of education and training. He has designed,
implemented and evaluated a number of projects and programs. He designed and implemented a World
Bank Enterprise Skills and linkage Program a project that was implemented by Private Sector Foundation
Uganda (PSFU) under Swisscontact. I conducted BTC skill supply assessment study that focussed s on all
formal and non- formal skills supply (BTVET provision), based on existing databases such as the national
examination results, MoES database of training institutes and also conducted a field visit to the Albertine
and Rwenzori region regions assessing potential training providers for the BTC/MOESTS Phase II BTVET
Project. I was a member of BTC Project formulation team that formulated BTC/Ministry of Education
project code name ‘Support to the Implementation of the Skilling Uganda Strategy’

Extensive operational experience related to the design of interventions in the general education
