2. TH HUDOOD ORDINANCE
The Hudood Ordinance is a law in Pakistan that was
enacted in 1979 as part of then military ruler ZIA-UL-HAQ’S
“Sharization” or “Islamization” process.
ZIA-UL-HAQ’S ‘Islamization’ policies had detrimental
effects for women especially through a set of law
called the Hudood Ordinances
3. Hudood
Hudood is the word often used in Islamic literature
for the bounds of acceptable behavior and the
punishments for serious crimes.
In Islamic law or Sharia, Hudood usually refers to the
class of punishments that are fixed for certain crimes
that are considered to be "claims of God."
4. Class of punishments
The Hudood or class of punishments include as
Theft.
Fornication (zina).
Adultery (extramarital sex). And
Consumption of alcohols.
5. 1.Theft
Theft is the taking of another person's
property without that person's permission or
consent with the intent to deprive the rightful
owner of it.
such as burglary, embezzlement, larceny,
looting, robbery, shoplifting, library theft,
6. Fornication (zina)
Fornication is generally consensual sexual
intercourse between two people not married
to each other. Or
Zina is an Islamic law concerning unlawful
sexual relations between Muslims who are not
married to one another through a Nikah.
7. Adultery
Adultery is extramarital sex that is considered
objectionable on social, religious, moral or legal grounds.
Though what sexual activities constitute adultery varies,
as well as the social, religious and legal consequences, the
concept exists in many cultures and is similar in Islam,
Christianity and Judaism.
Extramarital sex
Extramarital sex occurs when a married person engages in
sexual activity with someone other than his or her spouse.
From a different perspective, it also applies to a single
person having sex with a married person.

First offence “amputation of his/her right hand from
the joint of the wrist.”
Second offence “Amputation of his/her left foot up to
the ankle”.
Third offence “imprisonment for life”.

9. Zina (extramarital sex) Ordinance
(4 male witnesses must )
The Offence of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood)
Ordinance (VII of 1979)" refers to fornication, adultery
and zina bil jabr (rape),zina al jabr (Adultery).
Offences of Zina .
i. Stoning to death for the adulterer
ii. Public whipping of 100 lashes for a fornicator
iii. Imprisonment for up to ten years.
10. Prohibition (alcohol) Order
Officially known as: "The Prohibition (Enforcement of Had) Order of
1979", described the offence of producing, importing, selling, owning,
possessing or consuming alcohol.
Producing, bottling, selling alcohol is punishable by imprisonment of
up to five years, or flogging of up to 30 stripes, and may also be fined.
Owning or possessing is punishable by imprisonment of up to two
years, or flogging of up to 30 stripes, and may also be fined.
Drinkers are adult Muslims who "takes intoxicating liquor by mouth"
if they confess to drinking or evidence is given by "two Muslim adult
male witness" of good character.
They "shall be punished" with flogging of "eighty stripes".
