7. Chapter V
The artist uses
black and white
images to make
the album cover
stand out as the
artist‟s name is
written in red. It
also shows a tally
of number five
right in the
middle of the
album, this is
also written in
red. The red
might represent
love and heart
break.
The title „Chapter V‟
sets the tone of the
effort with mysterious
synths. This makes
the audience wonder
what this album is
about.
The images that
have been used on
the album are quiet
sexual images, this
instantly shows that
the target audience
for this album is for
girls aged 17+. The
images also show
that the songs may
relate to sex.
8. I Gotta Make it
The title „I Gotta
Make it‟, instantly
shows the audience
that this album may
be about his struggle
on love. It shows that
it expresses a male‟s
point of view from
cheating or
heartache hence
Trey has to make
it, probably make it
through the pain.
The front cover is the
side of Trey‟s face
singing. The reason
why this image might
be like this is to tell
the audience that the
only reason he might
make it through is by
singing hence I Gotta
Make It.
The background is
black the reason for
this is to make the
image stand out and
the writing at the
bottom since it is
written in white.
9. Passion, Pain & Pleasure
This album instantly shows us that this
album is related to sex because of the
album‟s name „Passion, Pain & Pleasure‟.
The image that is used is of Trey and a
water effect has been used to create it
more sexually to women, it indicates that
if you listen to this album women will feel
wet and want to have sex. It is clearly
obvious that the target for this album is
for women who like sex, not only women
men as well.
